The front bumper is a RC4WD bumper for a D90. I cut away a little here and there and made it fit.Man that's a nice front bumper. Is it a one off?

Thanks "thumbsup"Loving the detail work in this build , inspired me to start my first ever non kit build with my scx that has been gathering dust for the last few years.
Keep up the great work .

The back half will be magnets too. I'm in a tpough spot here though due to the electronics being mounted in the body. If I lose the body on the trail, chances are I'm going to rip out a few wires. So I'm looking into using a couple of screws to mount the rear, but leaving the magnets up front so I have some give in the body just in case. I haven't really worked that part out yet.I see you're using magnets on the front to hold the body"thumbsup" ,but how are you holding the back half on?
No, it's aluminum tubing from the LHS.Looks good, is that brake line for the exhaust?

Thanks. Its a hybrid mount setup really. The rear is hard mounted in a way that allows the front to come up about 3/4" without any damages. I used the magnets up front to hold things down and at least return the body to it's place if it gets knocked around on the trail. sgtbham told me to "capture" the magnets to prevent them from sliding around on the trail. This way the body has to be lifted off vertically instead of it sliding side to side. Thats where the real strength is for these magnets. From what I've seen so far (I havent tested it on the trail or rocks yet) this setup is going to work perfectly. I can remove two screws and have the body off in seconds. It's strong enough that I can almost pick up the truck by the front fenders without them seperating. I wanted some give in case of a roll over (which I'm known for) but I wanted to make sure the body didnt come off either because my wires run thru the body and it would rip them out of my motor/esc/etc. So in theory, if it rolls, the body might come up some, but it wont come off and it'll return to the correct running position once the rig has been righted.Amazing work and attention to detail brother, your always hitting these build out the park."thumbsup""thumbsup" ? How do you like using the earth magnets and how strong are they to keep the body on while crawling or just trail riding.
Thanks man. I'm having some fun with this one for sure.So much awesome!! Love the detail in your rig! "thumbsup"
