The BHSN Crawler Club Fleet

Welcome to the world of cheap old cars. My first car (1982 Buick Skylark, bleh) would randomly not start. Like, it would start over and over all day as needed then when it was time to go home at night, nope. It would crank over no problem just not start. Call my parents to come get me then go back in the morning and it would start right up like nothing ever happened.

And this was before cellphones. Well at least for most people. I think wealthy people were just starting to get phones installed in their cars in that era.

Will never forget my first blowout... Boy that's just something that you're can't prepare for as a new driver. On the highway going maybe 65+. Hopefully you'll get back up and running asap.. battery maybe?

BOY, OH, BOY, "no color joke bs here" Not even at 40+ age are you prepared for that shit! I wasn't, i had a valve stem pop out and the front drivers side tire went flat from 65mph ìn about 1 nanoseconds. Truck pulled SO hard to that side I had to hold on with both hands, in order not to hit the median and over into oncoming. 31" tire iirc?!

That's even worse running on 31" tires. Mine was in a '76 Cutlass so not at all as bad as your experience. Mine was also the front and I believe it was drive side. Fortunately there was no oncoming traffic. Was my formal introduction into keeping an eye on the condition of tires/ wheels. Absolutely scared the crap out of me.
