Ted's Lightweight Super Juice

The wheels look awesome man! That is a lot that you changed. Looking real good man"thumbsup"

Nice work...the Blast wheels look completely different missing a few spokes "thumbsup" Good luck at the comp!

Badass man! I wonder if I could do the 2nd large gear swap you did, on my mt. That'd open up a ton of possibilities...

Thanks guys.

I wonder if you could swap in an entire HR gear set? Maybee clearance one of the case halves down as to fit the shorter gear shafts.

Hmm. You'd either have to clearance it like you said or get longer bearings.
Where can you buy the actual gearset? All I've found is the whole axle for sale.

Ted, how much do you think it would be to transform an exceed mad torque to this, and is it even worth it to mess around with the mt?

D-lux is the guy to ask about the MT mods. I personaly have no interest in messing with the MT stuff. I recommend to go straight Berg. Forget bully axles, forget the MT, aluminum bully cases or the new CF/delrin D-lux cases with stock Berg or HR gears or the soon to be available RcBros premium berg gear sets. Two long berg tubes or custom tubes. lots of options with the bergs.

Also if you want to save some change you can use mt boxes with dlux tubes (he'd make you a set if you want) along with his mt to berg gear adapters. Then you'd basically have a berg while saving a good amount over actually going full berg.

If you want more info pm me or dlux, we both know a good amount about mt/berg stuff.

I actually think the MT axles would be an awesome way to get into supers, especially if you dont know if you will like them and dont want to drop a ton of coin.

$160ish for a RTR MT
$300 for dual 7980
$80 Super Bully shafts
$20 Cast Bully knuckles
$??? tires and wheels

$560 plus the cost of tires and wheels will get you a light and pretty decent super. There are lots of things you will probably want to upgrade if you decide you like it but the best part of the MT is that you can upgrade 1 piece at a time to get what you want but the base gear box (basically a lightweight Berg case) will stay the same. The only thing that would be weak and that you would probably want to upgrade right away would be the 3rd gear in the front. Again, you can probably mess around with stock MT stuff for awhile and replace them easily and at very little cost.

On another note, how are those HR 2nds treating you?

The HR gears are working good. I like the ratio. Thanks for showing me that mod. I never did swap in the GT arms, still running the HHK. Still running the 12T pinions, been thinking about trying out the 13T pinions. My drag brake improved some with the HR 2nd gear swap but some BRSL's would still be a good addition. Maybee someday. Probably will do some new wheels/tires before that.

Do you feel like the 12t is too low even? I did. Moving to a 14t feels perfect, at least with the GT motors. I can imagine that with the HHK motors that I could step down a pinion or two. To me, it feels awesome to be able to control the gearing that much with just a single pinion movement.

Its nice and low for sure. I fits my driving syle well. I dont feel like I need to go up a pinion size but curious to see how it does. I realy like being able to just run down to the local LHS and buy pinions instead of sourcing the metric ones.

The GT arms are fresh, never been ran. I cant just toss them in my vapors because the comm size is different. So the brushes wouldnt fit properly. I just had Eddie rebiuld them a couple weeks ago and thought about having him swap in the GT arms but did'nt.
