New body is about there.
Now that looks smart, hmmm colour scheme looks close to monster energy's rally cars ;-) . What decals you having on that? Also what did you use to mask it? I have a second drx on its way, one new and second is second hand so will need a new body. I will be choosing one of the wrc teams not sure which though.... Can't wait to see that finished.

Yeah it is a clear Subaru body I picked up from Infernosonly.com
I figured it would, Rodney and I were having the same issue you have been having yesterday. Considering all three of us have the exact same set ups it makes sense they all have the same problem.
I guess that's one of the things they cut out of the SCT combos, a good internal BEC :ror:

Underside got all stainless hardware before the chassis protector went on.
Picked up a stock Kyosho MP9 body for the inner body, should be here next week. "thumbsup"

Oh I try not to think about that.:ror: But if you don't count all the fancy metal parts we really don't need... 200.00 for the motor and ESC, 65.00 for the servo, 30.00 for the reciever, 50.00 in conversion parts and the car was 325.00 with a coupon from Amain hobbies.
So... Thats 670.00, Im sure there are a few things missing, but its not terrible.
Plus if I ever get off my lazy but and post on ebay we should be able to get a couple hundred from all the nitro stuff we took off the car.

You really can't, plus money is made for spending.
So John tell us about the fancy shocks. Are they smoother then stock? Did you do anything to them?
and we're so good at spending it too, can't let a talent like that go to waste huh? :ror:
Shocks:
The machining is some of the best I've seen out of aluminum shocks, easy to build and fill but still seem a bit stiff. Only down side I see is the 3mm shaft for something so large and moving quite fast.
I assembled the rears first using 40wt oil, smooth as silk but stiff, it could be the fact that they have a Nylon support, O-ring, O-ring, Nylon wiper in the bottom and it's just a matter of drag compared to what we are used too.
Instead of going to a lighter oil for the front I decided to add a few holes in the piston, went from a 2 hole to a 4 hole, using the same 40wt oil and it made a huge difference.
I'm going to rebuild the rears, add a few holes and install the RSB I left off.
Ran a whole pack through it today and not a speck of oil from the shocks, I'll definitely take the trade off of a little pre-shock work over leaking shocks any day.
The dust boots for the shafts are a nice touch too. "thumbsup"

Found some specs for the full scale Fiesta so I did a bit of comparison to the DRX:
DRX Specs:
Wheelbase: 316mm
Width: 260mm
Length: 563mm
1:1 Specs:
Wheelbase: 2480mm
Width: 1820mm
Length: 3963
Gravel Rally Wheel: 15"
This tells us the model's scale is all over the place:
Wheelbase = 1:7.85
Width = 1:7
Length = 1:7.04
Wheel = 1:6
This gives us an average of 1:6.9725 scale.....Important to finding the right size tubing
