We are in the first stages of prepping two Polaris RZRS for the 2011 KOH UTV race. The first stage is to get the new 1 3/4 .095 wall cages built and some nice swing out doors and installing some nice new mastercraft seats. The first one got finished up lat Sunday night and is on it way back to Del Rio Texas. We have ordered the tubing for the second one and will be ordering the seats for it soon. We hope to get the cage work started later this week. Once it is finished we will be delivering it down to Satan's Play Ground in Del Rio Texas.

Some pics for your pleasure.

Next phase will be Some new King shocks. We are trying to talk him in to a big bore kit for them we will see. The main concern as of now is to get them ready to pass tech inspection. Then once that is done we will go from there.

After seeing how flimsy and thin the stock cage is, I'm shocked you don't hear about more people getting hurt in them things. .060 thick tubing is for exhaust not roll cages. The new cage makes the stock one look ugly for sure.

If I may make a suggestion.
Really keep a eye on the frame right at the front of the floor pans.Or even better brace it up now.Everyone around here bends them at the point where they kick up there.

We were worried about that too. You should see how much the chassis flexes with out the cage attached. I just can't believe how thin and cheap these things look when you take them apart.

Thanks again for the sick fab work Aaron. I had nothing but rubber neckers all the way home. "thumbsup"

The plan for now is just safety for tech and little tweeks here and there to make them preform better.

Not going to mess with the drive train until the warranty is up. They are brand new and don't even have 10hrs on them yet.

As far as the coke can frame it will get beat like it owes me money till it breaks, then will make a return trip for a custom tube chassis.

Now if they would just lift the no turbo rule............

Thats what I like to hear."thumbsup""thumbsup" We will work on the coke can frame when we get out to the play ground at the end of the month.

Tube for your pops showed up today. We plan on weighing it in the morning and then start the dis assembly.

a better roll cage and frame strengthening is at the top of the list for my RZR. a good friend of mine just got his new JD2 bender in the mail so hopefully after i finish up buying a house, we'll be bending up a new cage. nice work on the doors man, got any more pics of them?

yeah, i saw these up close at the sportsman's show, i was shocked at how expensive they are (almost the same price as a car) and how chinsey they looked. it almost makes you think you'd be safer on a quad....

oh, and that is some nice work on those 2, though;-)

Well here it is in the first stages on number 2 KOH rzrs. We have ordered a nice set of PRP RZR seats and some 5 way safety harnesses from mastercraft. We have got all the main roll cage to chassis plates laser cut, bent, welded, and installed and will start to bend tube after we get back from lunch.
