T-T-T-T-Too Rad For you

Those door panels though!
And that Z Rack, Totally awesome!

Thank you sir!

I leave for USTE next Wednesday at 1AM and there is a still a lot to be done here.... Now I'm under real pressure to get things wrapped up.

For starters, the fuel system... the stock receiver box/fuel cell wasnt gonna cut it, especially since youll see it with the bed tilted. So I went to order one of the fancy RC4WD aluminum ones only to find out its apparently been discontinued for several years and command $130 price tag or more...crazy... but I was fortunate in that my good RC friend Tim/Warpig had one, NIB, and he didnt price gouge me...So I installed it, and added some Detail Masters fuel line to a Pro-Line RC DIY scale accessories double pumper kit. I painted and detailed them to look like the Aeromotive pump I have on my 68 SS chevelle.

Up front I mounted the good ol' Holley chrome regulator to the shock tower, and plumbed both side of the carb bowls because she making roughly a nickel and needs the go juice.

Home waiting for me are some of the final goodies for the engine bay from Falvey, including this MSD box, coil, wiring set ups, and battery terminal posts...check out that micro hardware...so rad...I did quite a bit of scale hardware throughout this truck, hopefully people actually see it.

And last but no least is some of these shifters that I helped Harry's Wheel Shop draw up. Back in the Jamboree show truck error it wasnt uncommon for guys to put shock boots on the shifters. I have already previously dont such mod using parts of straw but it really didnt have the look I wanted. Harry drew these up and then when I mentioned added the HURST shift knob he was all for it.

Anddddd since we are keeping the truck a stick, it only seemed fitting to scratch up a clutch master

I saw that you were looking for an RC4WD fuel cell and tried finding one for ya - no luck on my part, glad someone you knew hooked you up!

More scale goodness, SO much, bling for days..."thumbsup"

Man I don't know how I missed this thread. This thing is balls to the wall and I love it!

Pretty stoked to see it at USTE; Will be my first year!

You are gonna have a great time at USTE, its my favorite tiny truck event!

Appreciate that! Who knew they were in such demand...wish RC4WD would re-release them.

Quick update, forgot to take pics of this for the last post.

Did some additional details on the engine bay, added a washer jug, coolant reservoir jug with the hose too. Ive seen a lot of people detail these with the 22RE real nicely with all the correct vaccum hoses but one thing everyone seem to leave out was the battery hold down bar. Whipped up one out of some styrene and now I can move onto installing the terminals and MSD ignition.

So while it was able to obtain an early Best of Show win at USTE, lets show some of the details I got to before the event that I didnt have time to share.

For starters, while cruising Shapeways I cam across this really well done Holley 4150 style carb, needless to say I had to scoop that, I then detailed it to look like a Quick Fuel carb, painted the metering blocks and base red and added scale hardware to the other side as the caps for the feed.

I was all over the map days before I left for USTE, so I havent gotten to capture the finished engine bay, plus I still have to make the GM type II power steering pump and lines but I do have a pic of the completed shifters and I dug out my last key and key chain set from Pepe

More to come!

Thanks

I'm just gonna say something. The pictures are nothing compared to seeing this thing in person at USTE. Absolutely fantastic work! This truck is top notch!

I have serveral pics of it I took at USTE if you wouldn't mind me posting them.

And Congratz on the win, well deserved!

I wish I had gotten more pics but I was too busy drooling over it, Sorry about the water spots :lmao:

I never did enter my TF2, But spent all 3 days on the trails with it. And based on the comments I got on the trail, I should have entered it. Oh well, always next year!

You are MUCH appreciated for posting these incredible pics of 1BadJeepBruiser's rig!
