I will be keeping this thread updated. I am not sure anyone comes here anymore but i have gone through a my old thread (I will link it at the bottom) and a few other good build threads. After being out for so long the info is invaluable. So, if anyones still around ill be here.

Well, after about 6 yrs off i'm ready to build an new car and get comping again. I spent the last 6yrs traveling the country in a 5th wheel with my family and mountain biking. I just didn't have time for the crawlers. I was selling them off slowly and had the rest of the tools, spare parts, radios and such behind the seat of my F250. Then it was stolen from a hotel in Denver in 2021 so now am starting from scratch. We landed in the Seattle area and will be staying for a while. I got in touch with some of the guys i used to crawl with that have also gotten out to see what i could scrounge up. So far i have a set of delrin superlite's coming and more parts. I preferred the all delrin to the updated aluminum for the slippery'ness (is that a word?) so i'm happy I found a set of them.

Whats the preferred method for posting pics these days?

My old thread. Study up because its about to get heavy....

Giving dropbox a try?

Edit: can't get the link to show a photo? It will only link the picture?

Welcome back! I sitll come here and most days it is multiple times.

Your photos aren't displaying properly for me. I see part of a photo in Post #4, but I have to click on it to really see anything. I created a guide to help with embedding photos onto this site from Imgur. It was done for the old RCC, but should still mostly work. Feel free to PM me if you need further help.

Thanks. I have been getting a lot of parts in over the last couple days so hopefully I have some pics to post tonight. I will give it a try. Appreciate the help.

You're welcome. Looking forward to the build!

USPS seems to be a mess so parts have been slow to arrive.

Build list so far.
NSDRC RS800
BR Minis
Some old Brood Vesper 30t skewed arms
Building up some RCBros/Egressor shocks
Sedonas and OG Dlux beadlock wheels that came with the axles.

As far as a chassis and links I decided to design my own this time. I always drove chassis’s that were given to me so I am excited to try all the ideas that were floating around my head. It’s funny I can’t remember s&$t but I can remember the link and shock locations I wanted to try 10yrs ago. Go figure

Dan Guy got my chassis cut to day so I started building it up. I like it but I’m not sure about the front under the A and B pillars? It’s kinda empty looking.

Once I get all my shock parts I’ll get them sorted. It’s droop circa 2002 for now.

Let me know what you guys think. Honest opinions…

i love the cab forward design. ill be honest though, it makes it a bit harder to self right if neither front tire is touching the ground. depending on the width of the top of the cab though. how much was the cut if you dont mind me asking?

ps: the "empty" spot wont be so empty when you put your battery there. its a good looking design really.

Good point on the battery filling the space. Just got the 3d printed battery mount installed. I drew it up and Dan also printed it along with the skid.

I agree on the cab forward design. I took my inspiration from the old T1e moonbuggy chassis. I always loved that design. We will see how it rolls over soon. Hoping to have it running by next weekend.

i love the T1E lineup. i think you will be fine. just the a pillar is throwing me off but will aid in self righting and not act like a shovel. just may need a little more weight on the knuckle.

I drew up some new upper link mounts and had Dan cut them out of 2.5mm carbon and doubled them up. This way I can have the upper links exactly where I want them and the links the length I want them.
