I'm not on Vacation. .....

So it looks like another week and half down south for me. I'll be back the 2nd week of March. Because I know you're all anxiously awaiting a charlie update..... Der....

Frank, I still have your battery.....

Since Tim is asking what we are all up to here is my RC crawler update:

- Not a huge local turnout at the Petaluma Hobby Expo last Saturday but Juan did a great job rockin' the NBRCC table all day. He generated lots of interest in RC crawlers and the club!

- The national scale rules are almost complete (hope I didn't just jinx myself by saying that) and the MSD Scale Nationals will be held May 20 - 22nd in Helena Montana. I already have the time off from work and I can't wait for another few days of scale porn madness. I will have a rig ready for all three classes so I'm going no matter what (read...no matter how bad I actually drive:ror:).

- My class 1 scale rig is under debate, I'll either bite the bullet and actually run my CC-01 FJCruiser or maybe I'll build a Tamiya FJ40 full leafer on 1.55's.

- For my class 2 truck I'll be running my old trusty 1.9 Hilux / UTE truggy. Since I recently rebuilt the rig from the ground up only a few updates will be required to dial it in to be comp ready.

- I'm curently trying to finish my new 2.2 FJ40 class 3 rig. It will have a multi-function 3rd channel to run either the dig, the rear winch or the front winch. Don't ask how I'm planning on making that happen, I tell people it's a secret but really I'm still just working out the kinks...

On another note it would be nice to know how many of you would be interested in participating in a small scale comp series using the SORRCA rules? It would be cool to run at least a 3 comp scale series before MSD Scale Nationals in May. If interested please post up what class rig('s) you would like to comp and maybe we can get something going as soon as next month.
