Solitaire's 2nd SuckerPunch

It should be the way to correct it..

If not, maybe try dropping the front uppers, back down. It might be fighting against, raising the rears.

Yeah, I won't be able to test out the link change til I get out on the rocks again. Weather hasn't been very test-friendly the last few weeks.

Pics per request...

Last pic shows the Hangar 9 servo horn. Cut it down slightly, but the angle at full right lock is much better. Not sure about the strength of the horn, though. It's very soft. And we'll have to see if my trusty Savox has enough grunt to turn the longer horn.

Now, just waiting for the rain to stop to give 'er another test run.

Well hopefully the rain will stop enough to get a little play time in on Sunday at our club windup bbq. I have done a little tweaking to my sucker punch and would like to do the same. Let's pray

Thanks, Tom. We'll see how it stacks up against the other SuckerPunches next weekend...weather permitting.

Not sure I like to see all your stuff for sale...what's with that?

You will actually gain more of a mechanical advantage by lengthening the arm on the knuckle in stead of the servo

That was one the issues with the RC4WD Bully 2 Comp knuckles
. I just took a old servo arm and lengthened the stock knuckle arm by 6mm and problem solved

If memory serves Rc Bro's or Dlux use to sell a longer arm for those VP knuckles

Rcbros definitely does sell extended arms.

Already using an extended arm on the knuckles. A pair of Crawlin' Calvin's. I've used RC Bros arms before on other builds and I don't think there's any difference in length. Not sure about DLux's.

That servo horn will bend just looking at it Bob.

Nobody around here had any luck with these.

BTW, build looks great."thumbsup"

Thanks, Kev.
I'm a bit concerned about the servo horn as well, but I'm between a rock and you know what. If it fails, I'll need to come up with an alternative. Problem is lack of space at the front link mount for full swing.

Why not just remove the spacer on upper link mount @ axle?

Bend your upper links then remove spacer on upper links @ axle. I think you'll have enough room for a straight servo arm after that.

Yep, definitely an alternative, other than the shallow angle issue with horn and knuckle arm.

Do you get full left swing with your setup?

Well, I haven't had a lot of drive time on this truck since last fall as the weather in the winter months is quite damp. Managed to get out to a couple of comps with the Washington State crew and finally one of our own comps last weekend.

Truck's working quite well...the driver is still a bit suspect.

Managed to get the "push" pretty well dialed out now by some link adjustment and the Hanger 9 servo horn seems to be holding up fine.

Put together some DLux beadlocks and Fifth Dimension faces for my VooDoos. Kinda like 'em.
