Skaldiddog's "Progress"

Crawler Battery Bank continues

Got a little bit more done on my battery bank. I made the dividers from a sheet of 7075.

They fit well.

Layed down some beads of Hysol epoxy.

And this pic is too dark to even see the walls in place.

After months of being dirty due to heavy use, I spent the time over a couple of beers to clean, lube and tune my girl before covering her up for a bit. Always a pretty sight.

More Hysol work tonight. Then on to paint or laquer.

V5 Motors

As promised I received my new armatures and a factory assembled set of HH Mini ESCs. The arms are both 13t/5s/Heavy[fat] wind. The ESCs are also enhanced with lots of fat wire versus what I'm running right now (20g). First up is to instal the arm's into my thicker 500 cans, re-install the standup brushes and drive her a bit. After that I'll switch out the ESCs and see what difference the extra wire mass makes. Thanks a ton JRH. I appreciated you busting butt to get me these.

Now let's see who can find Waldo?????8)

480's. I've not been told that. Why is it a waste? Feel free to get technical.

Glad you like. Now go to bed man, it's late!!!

John told me that the low mah can not push the power to make a differance. Of those fat wire.

Most people couldn't report a difference on 3 slot with fat wire vs medium wire when using tiny packs.

Joel is a #1 world class driver though, I would defer to his experience on the matter. He wanted to reduce losses and heat buildup in the arm, so I built them with larger wire than normal. Difference in punch wan't the goal, he is aiming for max efficiency and cares not about adding weight.

No one has found Waldo yet....8).

Dang...it really does look like there's a little dude there waving...oh well back to starring at the original picture...

Does it have to do with polarity?

Different size (like 7.5 or 9mm vs. 10mm) arms...

Ya know earlier I actually counted the segments on each because they looked different...now I know why they looked different. They're bigger on the left arm, and smaller on the right
