Well I got talked back into the comp crawling scene. The original plan was to just build a sporty but was told I was dumb and just need to sack up a build a pro rig again. I probably wouldn't have but I found a great deal on a XR10 that Del Monte found for me. Im excited to get this thing going"thumbsup"

The build:
Y-Town Crawlers Double Agent 2.0 chassis
Custom Y-Town Crawler wheels
Hitec 7950
dual FXRs
55T motors for now
Custom Pro-Line tires
Egressor Shocks
Axles will be stock for now.

Looking forward to this build and seeing you a few comps"thumbsup" you definitely made a smart choice building a 2.2m (pro) rig. Is it done yet? You have a week to build this rig next comp is 4/12

Are you going to run Proline chisels tires? JK.

If Proline is making some pin tires I'm in...

LMAO You can call it whatever you like just glad to see you getting back into comp crawling.

It's 2.2m modified class... "PRO" scares people away

Hmm... I haven't got my chassis yet but I have axles setting on a workbench. Maybe I will start my build/re-build thread too

Cant wait to get out and compete again.

HAHA yeah Jake agreed with you! I will have to say a no to the drifting :flipoff: I can drift pretty well with my U4 rig

Wheel faces are looking good. What material are the wheels cut from? C'mon Tyler PM me some pictures of those tires.

Subscribed for the motivation to start on mine.

You should work on getting proline to make us some 5.5" G8 badlands or gladiators. "thumbsup"

Maybe this as the donor tire... Can't wait to see what you come up with..

Close but no.

Took the axles completely apart to inspect the gears and bears and pretty much all need to be replaced. I found a complete set of HR gears but haven't had luck with a bearing kit. I saw Boca has one but it was like $125 crazy over kill bearings. Im sure I will find some at a reasonable price with out having to buy them individually.

Anyone know if this is for just one axle or both front and rear?

Axial XR10 Bearing Kit

I think that its a full kit, his bearing run about 80-90 cents per in the kit form, so I say its a full two axle kit for $25. "thumbsup"

You gonna have that thing ready for this weekend? Better get wrenchin' :flipoff:only got two days!!

Yup just single axle with those kits - bearings are great, I still have the same set in both my axles since I got back last year. "thumbsup"

HAHA yeah no that wont happen. With going to school at night I dont get much done during the week. I will though be getting a lot done this weekend.

Thank you!

Did you get some time to work on your rig?

HAHA well not really. Jake came over and I hoped we would get a lot done but nothing really got done. Mostly because a order I placed was missing a part(which I emailed them and they fixed super quick"thumbsup") Not that part was super important but we got distracted with Supercross and playing with my new 3D printer. I did start on my custom tires which I will post up tonight.

Got my chassis from Y-Town Crawlers and it looks awesome. Did the top shaft bearing mod at work yesterday on the lathe. While Jake was over last weekend I had him show me how to make custom tires. Well its a lot of work and I have only one tire done haha! My plan was to make 3 different set to test out but that may not happen.

The wheels I have shown will most likely get used on my U4 car and I will get a Carbon Fiber set for this crawler. The tire were a special set of the BFG KR2 in a M4 compound for the side walls which I really like how soft they are. The tread is the 1/8 truggy suppressor tires also in a special compound of the G8. First initial feeling on the tire is For the second set I want to take about .25" to .375" out of the center to narrow it a bit. I know I should sand the side walls but I really like the look of the BFG thread haha.

I wasn't exactly sure how much to take off the top shaft. The pic shows the bearing flush with the end of the shaft. After looking around I saw that I needed to take more off so I did after this photo.

Still waiting for a few things like links and shock parts but they should be here soon. Can't wait to get this thing going!
