Hello all, I see we are getting more and more members with the SCX6. Is everyone still running the stock body, or is there other options out there that I haven’t seen yet?

There is the stock Jeep and Honcho and I have heard of someone using a Gladiator body, as well as an F250 (Super Duty) body.

Any others? Hopefully the aftermarket starts coming up with some others. I’d love to see some Ford, GM and Dodge bodies that actually resemble the real thing.

There's the Pro-Line 1/6 1978 Chevy K-10 Clear Body for SCX6.

They didn't do a very good job with it, unfortunately...

I wonder what a quote unqote 1/6 scale new bright body would fit.

If anyone local has one of these and wants to plop a NB body on it to see what it looks like I have 2 different versions of the NB H2, a F350 and the F150 raptor body. Could do a meet up and just drop them on top for pic or two.

newbright 1/6th scale are more 1/8 scale
the nylint jeep is a true 1/6 i would assume the scorpion body would work good on the scx6 but the jeep is to small for scx6 stuff
the new bright new beetle would look sick chopped and mounted on a shortened scx6
the hummer h2 i think is close to 1/6 atleast closer than alot of there other 1/6th models
if you were going for a wronch type of build the dodge pick up as a cab would be kool build a custom cage on the back

the newbright bodys i have would not look scale with the scx6 parts under it

Yeah, I realize their scale is off on some of the "1/6 scale" vehicles that are offered. Fastlane rc has the H1 alpha that is much bigger than the New Bright bodies. The Herbie beetle and bus are closest to real 1/6

NB 1/6 Jeep TJ could be modified into an LJ. That might look about right on the chassis. It could also be modified into a Brute. Just my 2 cents...

I have this body that I want to try on my 6

Honestly, just looking at what is out there and what people’s thoughts are for their builds, as well as what folks think may fit the chassis.
the axles are 11.5 wide so thats not huge the wheel offset and tire size would make a big differance as far as fitment goes

ive always wanted a honcho since they were new but never got around to building one so as soon as there back in stock im gona pick up the cab set up and start building

That Disney herbie is almost 12" wide. It's 29" long and has a 17.5 wheelbase.

Well, the 1/6 NIKKO Hummer body is a no go without a lot of modifications. It’s also too short in the front and rear. The width is perfect, but the wheelbase just does not match up.
