So i recently bought a Savage X 4.6 from a friend of mine that came with a complete spare chassis minus wheels, motor and some electronics. Well i started looking at it and my mind started working a little bit - has anyone built a Savage based Super Crawler? I guess the same way the E/T Maxx based crawlers are built by locking out the front and rear ends to make a solid axle type of drive train. I was thinking about using the chassis also in some way or so. Anyone ever done this?

Back in something like 2006 there was at least one. Honestly, not worth it though. Sell the spares and buy yourself a pair of decent solid axles.

I agree with getting a good set Of solid axles. I tried to make something like this work and was never satisfied. I ended up buying a set of super bully's in the end.

I honestly wont use it for a Comp or anything. Its a little experiment that i wanted to do. Since i practically have everything with the chassis other then a few odds and ends to replace/repair, its almost a complete roller. I was thinking about building it like the T/Emaxx based supers are done, also figured since the parts on the Savage are pretty beefy as they are, might be something to look into. Im also going to start converting my cousins Emaxx back into a Tmaxx, so theres the ESC and motors that i will need without buying anything major. Just would like to get back into crawling a little bit so thought this was a good way to jump back into it.
