Anyone know of a good ifs kit that'll work for a custom built sand rail chassis? Its not 4wd, so just need a-arms, shocks, etc.

Oh this is for a 1:1 buggy

maybe a prerunner kit off a ranger or fullsized donor? IIRC there is software out there that helps you design Suspensions too but my guess it's rather $$ to buy

Try doing a search for "sand car" this may help a little, or "sand car forum" im sure there has to be a site for this. I wasn't tring to bust your balls, I was tring to be funny Ha Ha :lmao:

"custom" sandrail and "kit" are not 2 terms that belong together....

Check out glamisdunes.com and minibuggy.net for some ideas.

Good luck and take your time, a well designed suspension is worth its weight in gold, not only for performance and comfort reasons...but your life can depend on it also.

Well I have found suspension kits for race buggies and pre runners for 3-5 grand plus and that's just the a arms. If I was to spend that much I'd custom fab a suspension like the revo, sell by buggy and go buy a nice used one, or throw a 44 in my toy, small block v8, a big rear end, 4 link it, some tires, etc.

Im not looking to spend more than a grand in the front end. and that's everything, spindles, suspension, steering stuff, wheels and tires. I can salvage most stuff. but ifs stuff on stock vehicles weren't made to be shown off but hidden under sheet metal and plastic.

I don't have a grand now to spend, but its gonna be my project for the next year. I'm tired of throwing money at rc cars...I still will on my crawler, but the other ones are gone now

You better save. 37s are expensive

I hear that! I bought a wraith and a mini pro and told my self I am done buying new ones for atleast a year and not very many upgrade parts parts! so I can have some $$$$ to put new wheels and tires on my truck.

Umm...more details would be nice. It is a 1:1 custom built sand rail? Size/pics? If it was small enough can you find something like an a-arm kit for a 4wheeler or utv?
