Quarry Creeper
Took a pack over to the "Canyonside Community Park" at lunchtime and have a great time on the rock formation. Other than staying away from a backside tumble (there is running water down in those reeds), it's quite a good location for a noontime break. The gunite that binds the rocks is incredibly "sticky" and I was surprised to see the near vertical slopes my crawler was capable of climbing. Great find, Calcat430d - well worth a visit if you're in the area.
Black Mountain just north of Mercy Road in the Mira Mesa area west of 15 and north of Mira Mesa Blvd.
If you ever have a spare noon hour and plan on hitting the rocks, let me know and I'll try to meet you there.
