San Diego RC Crawlers

Nice lookin pics, the bridge looks fun. If you had a portable bridge like that I know the perfect spot for it at the comp. Busy this weekend so haven't gotten out crawlin. Did manage to finish narrowing and reducing some Mashers to 1.9 for the scaler. Its not to hard just have to go slow.

I was waiting for someone to notice the rear steer lockouts. I found those on ebay, can't remember the name, but they are pretty cool and cost about $27 and came within 3 days of ordering on ebay.
Another mod I have done to my truck is I put internal springs closing the shocks and kept the outside springs on also. it lowered the rideheight a little and got rid of a little more torque twist. it also limited some articulation travel but performance has actually seemed better.

Dave tires look nice! what off set are the rims?

Those would be the 6mm offsets. They still tuck up nice and perdy though. I knew it couldn't be that hard to do.

Nice mods Muscle.

No Felicita gtg this weekend there's a ren fair goin on, need to have one up there before the comp I think.

just stripped another bevel gear in my tlt. I'll have to swap out with my spair axle and be ready for saturday.

I'm up for the Dam on Sat. I'd recommend getting there early for parking and also as it warms up the flies will drive you nuts.

Also if your in the mission valley / friars rd area you should check out fiesta island there are rocks piled up in a pretty decent spot.

Also on fiars rd heading to fiesta island you'll pass a real rocky area on the right that's ok for crawling.

Fiesta island is mostly dirt with a small group of rocks pretty decent if you live near by, not worth a 30min drive if you live to far. Friars rd rocks are exactly that mostly rocks, it's a road side near an overpass. But these are local.

if anyone who is going to the dam (weather permitting) has a pair of clod knuckles they'd sell, I could use them to replace my remanufacturered one that will probably not last much longer. let me know a price and I will bring money.

Hey what part of florida do you crawl? near the park or down near the hospital or the other end? florida and upas st?

I'll be at the dam at about 8:30 - 9:00 if anyone else is up.
Weather permitting of course. After I get off work I'll water proof, then head out. If the weather is crappy we could do a Sun run!

well the dam was home to a big marathon type event and parking was not happening. Plus I don't think anyone else showed. Still looking to go out this morning. Is anyone going out today?

I was at the dam today around 9 untill 10:30 or so.

I had a great time my rig was pulling off moves it couldn't do before, and all the water was pretty fun too.

just parked and walked in a bit not too bad.

I like to crawl in florida cyn near upas and florida. Tomorrow around 9 i could be there.

well dang it, I was there at around 9:30ish and didn't seen anyone except runners and bikers, I guess I lose. Anyway tomorrow at 9 at florida and upas. Never been there but I'd like to see it.

Florida cyn is in Balboa park. by the zoo. Upas and Florida cyn st. Just north and east of the zoo.

You can park at the zoo or the tennis courts at morley field, either side of that intersection.
The tennis courts is best. we have a trail that starts from there. there are not many rocks to crawl it is mostly trail running so a scale rig is best. and there is water to play in. it is fun.
