RootBreaker's Micro Raptor V8e

i just did upper links.. then axle..

so i do want to say I cheated a lot and it was cool!!!!!!!!!!! from the mess of auction on ebay I have won.. that ford one... had extra links and stuff... those links are perfect and worked on the pics above.. also i got those tons of parts in the little box... and guess what there are tons of axle pieces.. I looked and VIOLA!!! an axle fit perfect for the front driveshaft!!!!!!!!!!!!! however today I did pickup all thread and tubing but didnt use the tubing yet... wanted to see if the links are at right lenght first.. and they are....

so wheelbase is 5.5" from center hub to hub.... and now creating the upper links and driveshaft had to drive it around... WOW longer wheelbase makes a miraculous difference if our going for flex, crawlability!!!!!!!!!!!!

now when i do my leaf rig (got the frame, leafs, axles, steering servo, trans and motor!!!!!!!!!! ) I wont care about its crawling abilities!!

but I have to do a video now in the same rock garden where I was doing ok but issues.. i know it will do superior with miclaws and longer WB and all this!!!!!!!!!!!! cant wait!!!!!!!!

Got to love the Miclaws.. looks mean! "thumbsup"

Thanks! "thumbsup" just got to fix that flat tire... see it?!?!?!?!!? got to get air in there... hah...

so on the to do list...
tubing over the few all thread (2 front uppers, 2 front bottom and 1 rear upper)
mount the battery - got an idea of metal U shape with velcro straps. I dont want to glue or velcro down the battery... but might as im not sure yet...
cleanup wiring. I want it to look cleaner..

so looking for thoughts... since the rig is black, axles black, tires black... would you do the links with the chorme or aluminum finish look or use shrink tubing for black?

dude that video is sharp!!!!!!
that orange one.. is that the same chassis I have??? if so that front "hood" would set things up nice!!!!!hmmm

those Danally motors r sweet!!! my son has the 90t rewound stockers and I have a 90t stroker.... going to have 2 more stocker rewinds soon with pvc mod rims...
cant wait!!!!!!

Sorry no picks:cry: The vid was my buddy steve's work. I am stuck with a iPhone and don't no how to post picks from it without a URL .

well you can upload pics here or host them.. i use Flickr.com as it is free..
also resize them to 1024 on long end to also save space on there...

"thumbsup"

so if you have a flickr site.. you can just use the iphone app (i use my android app).. they have 2 flickr apps.. but you can just simply click upload.. choose pic.. upload... then there is a link they give you and u put it in the forums.

I use phone to upload to flickr then a pc to actually post though..

I am very pleased.. minus one thing.. needs more weight up front... definitely...
working on editing the video..

thanks!!!!

i have to get video of my 1/10 ax10... it had trouble with this same course!!!!!!!!!!! so my 1/24 did very well!!!!

This crawler is sweet! It makes me want a comp crawler instead of a scaler. I need miclaws! they seem to do vary well. My trekker has about that much wheel speed. Good job on this crawler!

Thanks! yeah she is done... well.. all that is needed is more weight up front other than the 2 washers inside the tire (Danally's beadlock)... not sure if I will do the bb's or ball bearings or just some weight on the steering servo..but im happy with it and have 3 more to work on... so need to get funds first!!! "thumbsup"

was gonna have something cool to post about but no I wont... sux...

proclaimed 30fps.. it is actually 17fps...

so getting this thing back up again too...

stuff looking at doing:
1. going to go 4ws with redcat sumo esc/tx as i have it already. Was going to put this in Wild Blue but not going to..
2. since rear steer servo is in place will make a custom battery holder on back or IN body.
3. figure out if I can tear this camera apart and lighten it up or if just going to mount it up front....

not sure if I want to go with sumo axles from Wild Blue in this rig as it will add speed..but should control slow crawling too.. so not sure if keeping trekker axles or sumo...
