Rockshow SS-T for truck. The rebuild.

I got my ROWDY RACING battery tray today and was doing a little test run when all of a sudden reverse went out on the rear ESC. Sortly after no steering, then lots of smoke.

After inspecting everything I lost 1 out of 2 ESC's and the BEC. Things inside the shrink wrap flexed a little more than I thought they would and, well, burn.... lesson learned.

That kinda sucks. You still have your LCC? I still have mine and it hasn't missed a beat in the hands of my 12 yo son. He drives it like he stole it( Guess he did:lmao:)

Gotta admit bro...when I saw the title of this build, I wasn't expecting much. Not a big fan of the truck bodies on comp rigs.

But this things cool. Nice build man "thumbsup"

No dont have the Losi anymore. Needed cash a while back and sold it. Wish I had kept it. It made a great sportsman rig after I started running the XR in comp class. Wish I could remember who I sold it to. Id try to buy it back and sell that AX10 sporty I have now.

ROWDY RACING is gonna hook me up with a set of FXR's so I can run our local comp on Saturday. A.K.A. The maiden voyage.

I know what you mean. Ive been holding out on a bodyless chassis for a long time. The carbon fiber SS and the idea of the truck panels finaly sold me on it.

Nice job on the win today Karl, I don't mind finishing second to you...sometimes.

Might be something to this chassis. I pulled a first place today at our local comp.

Congratulations

Nice job on first place "thumbsup"

Carbon Fiber Rockshow SS FTW "thumbsup""thumbsup"

Thank you, thank you. I get lucky every once in a while. Im gonna give the credit to the awesome chassis.

Was practicing today because this rig is a joy to drive. Programed the throttle and brake profiles on the FXR's. Got em running good now. Then the unexpected happened. The right rear delrin link at the chassis made a loud pop. Never thought I would have to worry about that.

Rig is down again

If it isn't one thing, it's another. Sorry about the carnage, flip side is now you can upgrade.

Bummer, you got spares from your old chassis, right?

The SS links are a little bit longer than the old Burg links I have. I just cut down longer rod ends to make up the differance, and got the rig back up and running. I cant let it just sit there.

Looks like its time for some dlux rockshow links and sliders!!

I took your advice and looked. But all I see are links for a Viper II

Been doing some testing and tuning. Had to try the yellow panels. Moved the front upper links into the extra lower hole on the chassis. Seems to give it some extra life! Still have a couple issues Im working on. One is when using dig, the rear pulls all the way down while the front only pulls down about a 1/4". The other is, the suspension unloads when standing the rig up for verticals. Maybe ya'll can help me out. Im not sure what to do to correct it.

Have you tried mrc silvers in back? I didnt like mini silvers on rear, seemed a touch to soft. You could also lay fronts back one hole. This is assuming the fronts over powering the rear on verts.

Try lowering your rear uppers one hole on the chassis. Try to make them as horizontal as possible. Raise your front upper link mount at the axle with a small (2mm) spacer. See how that does.
