Purchased two new rock Reys early February. Last week my son lost the front driveshaft pin, that goes through the outdrive. Unable to find these anywhere. the manual gives a vaterra part number, that's discontinued. I can find a Losi part number that appears to be the same thing, but its unavailable also. Any alternatives? Really a bummer having a brand new truck, and having to explain to my little wheeling buddy that he cant drive because we cant get parts.

Thanks in advance!

ps.
The two part numbers I have are
VTR246001
LOS236003

those pins arent realy specific to that rig you just need the size and you ciuld order thousands for dirt cheap through just about any metal supplyer or just order the same size pin for a different rc you just need the size in a pinch you can cut down a drill bit and have the strongest pin ever

Seems to have an oddball pin size, and larger diameter threads than most. I thought initially the driveshaft pins from some axial WB8 driveshafts would work, and they do not fit,.

I believe the replacement part# for those pins is LOS236003. I'm about 90% certain on that... I believe this has come up on the FB rock rey page recently.

I believe those pins are specific to those12mm hexes. So different hexes could be an option.

Or you could order this: LOS232006
Its the hex/pin/scale brake parts package. Cost a little more, but at least it'll get you running.

Call around to all your LHS. I had to rebuild my baja rey and online would show backordered on stuff (especially common nowadays) so i would just call around to all the shops within an hr drive or so. Someone would always go Ive got 1 left!

talking to the local places, was the first thing I did. :x

These aren't the pins with the wheel hex. These are that hold the driveshaft on, up near the differential. Are they the same pins that hold the wheel hexes on, as the driveshaft at the other end?

Same pins used in multiple applications. I browsed the kit manual and did a search for vtr246001 in the PDF.

Here's a link to the Kit manual.

Did anyone ever find these parts available anywhere? I lost one of these stew pins about a month ago and have had zero luck tracking down an available source :(
