Buzz Crawlers....

Finally getting the Honey Bee Rescue Comp Rig all done but a couple of things left !!!!

Was pretty bummed at the Pitbull Combat Raceline Wheels I had to wait 2 months to get them and I was excited to use on this rig and they are a huge disappointment only being able to be bolted to the axle from the 6 small screws on the hex mount.... So I had a set of Gearhead Trailking wheels in Delrin and they are making lemonade out of the situation...

BUZZZZ......

BUZZ Crawlers!!! Got the Rig itself almost tweaked out enough for a test run outside and check the shocks and the new motor and servos and then make the proper adjustments but the rig looks clean and everything works so far!!!

Now im almost done with the Rescue Bee Ford 250 Body and all the scale details as its my first Scale Rig with a highly detailed and themed Body and its coming-out well im now crushing my head on what colors to go with??????? definitely 2 tone upper cab and lower cab and I have some hex bee stencil for the windows but not sure on colors?????

opted for the Hot racing rear shock towers better setup and shock options even though I reversed the hoops will see how it works on the rocks....

Now I have to dismantle and tape up the body as we are having good weather next couple days!!!! BUZZZZZZ......

I vote blue, all fords look good blue. Like a dark metallic.

Missed it but what are the things on the hood?

BUZZ. PHIL.... Ill check the blue I got I might have a holographic blue!

the hood has 2 custom bars I added one to hold the body tight in the front the red long one to maybe hold more accesories!!! I like the body its strong the way its held down by the bungee in the front and rear makes the Pulley on the roof very useful for side pulling or side hill rescue or pull out and body stays put and hold the weight!!
Functionality Capability and Looks on this one :) Ill update soon!!!!

BUZZZ....

Heard. Just make sure those brackets on the body are backed up on the underside, my cab roof on the Trailwalker cracked after one tumble with the light bar brackets screwed to it. Maybe some little styrene plates and shoe-goo or something. You may have already done that.

Yup I got them bolted m3 nuts and washers..... I am going to reinforce the G Spot pulley on the roof with a little bar on the underside..... BUZZZZZZ.....

Took out the Rescue Bee Rig today and tested her out and she did great I had some steering issues as far as travel and the rig toppled over a couple times as I took the brass diff weight in the front axle off so Im putting that back on and as far as the steering I ended up using a longer Traxxas link end and I finally have fixed my TRX4 steering issue with a flat belly side servo position which has been bugging me forever!!! BUZZZZ......

Was able to install the front winch Reefs micro99 smart winch and it was pretty easy I had the space in the front battery tray I never use and the end of the battery tray is like a fairlead and has 2 grooves leading the cable to the front fairlead DSM bumper..... BUZZZZZ......

I highly doubt that removing that brass diff cover had anything to do with it toppling over.

Finished the front servo and winch and steering and panhard links all working great!!!
Now moving to the back end I removed the Hot Racing Shock posts and put back the samix ones as they give better clearance options and I wanted to install tall rear body post mount for accessories and towing!!! Just need to set up the spool in the rear winch and the Rig itself should be ready for some rescue action the body I hope to have painted by next week if weather permits!!!!

BUZZZ. Sniper.

What do you think it was??
when I tested it, It was going up a straight hill and also a straight climb on my backyard I normally use to test rigs and it toppled back and though this rig is a little heavier than before I used my old body which is pretty light and most of the weight is in the front and low... ill keep you posted when I switch and test the same climbs :) BUZZZ....

By topple, do you mean over backwards?

I’m with sniper on this regarding a brass diff cover being a make it or break it part.

Have any videos of the Rescue Bee in action?

My give a better idea of what’s going on, seeing it in motion and general vehicle dynamics.

Just my thoughts.

Hey Benp BUZZZZ..... Yes the front end going straight up fell over backwards and I saw a wobble both times so I put my finger on the truck the slightest and it did not topple Now I just finished most of the Rig today and I fixed all the steering issues and calibrated all 4 servos and endpoints so I will be testing this rig in the next couple days with the old body until I can get the new body painted and ill shoot a video the Rig is looking awesome and im really trying to make my vision of this rig possible as far as capability and functioning as a rescue vehicle and the reefs 777 servo and Holmes magnum motor I got lots a power to play with!!!! BUZZZZ....
