I agree even though I dont normally bookface, this might be worthy for me to visit.

For what its worth I think for me its 300 miles round trip from San Diego and back. Work is super flexible they think my rc stuff is cool haha

Let just hope this does indeed mellow out by April. Two trips have already been cancelled it would suck to have a 3rd. I need a day off as Im one of the lucky ones that still is working. Be safe everyone and wash your hands

Personally I think they should probably just push it back now and avoid a cancellation at the last minute.

Also when things clear up I'm going to be swamped at work and likely wont be able to take time off.

I dont know the logistics of booking another weekend at Horsemans center but I would be a lot more certain I could make it if they just postponed the event.

Sorry to be a wet blanket but just pushing forward wont make this any easier in my mind.

I'm still working too, as are a few of my local crawl buddies. "thumbsup"

I went to the place last night, the book of faces.. and the Intel is that as of last week, Paul and Proline will make a final decision Mid April. I'ts going to be a last minute decision, so plan accordingly.

Agreed!
This is supposed to be my first By the fire event. Even if somehow it does happen, how watered down will it be? I'm sure less people will attend. Will all the vendors bother to make the trip?

Hey Frank211 and Proline , Just thought I would offer up a little input. Even if the shutdown is lifted the end of April, the May date for the event is going to be a little early to ask people from all corners of the US to attend. I just think, coming from a 70 year old kid it would not be wise to risk exposures. If even one person that is "a systematic" shows up, think about what could happen. I don't think we can be to careful. A September day may a better target. Just my 2 cents. "thumbsup"
This will be my third PBTF and I'm really looking forward to it. "ROLL ON TINY TRUCKS"

Prob fairly watered down, definitely possible vendors wouldn't make the trip.

I'm in the boat that Pro-Line should be proactive and postpone it now.

A majority of the SF Bay area has had the stay at home order extended until May 3rd. I definitely agree with folks on postponing until a later date. Like Codyboy said, if just one asymptomatic person is there it could have huge impacts, and then we're right back at square one with this mess.

I was thinking last night... I know, I know... it doesn't happen that often so I tend to remember when it happened, but thinking how this actually started back in November or early December. It's cleared the world in less than 90 days. It's not going anywhere by May 16th, like one day we're just gonna wake up and all back to normal... we are postponing the inevitable "postponement" of events in that time frame.

I"m already making other plans unfortunately. The bright side is this will be a good time to catch up on projects, fortunately and unfortunately. Stay healthy out there crawler community.

I think that RC4WD has an event later in Oct. In the central part of Calif. near Visalia..I think:mrgreen: That might workout for a two-fer if the dates are close.

Plus, they're the primer sponsor for Scale Nationals, just north of Las Vegas, tentatively rescheduled for the first weekend in November.
