Wendall...do you have any side shots of the front half of the chassis and front axle with the front tire off...wanna see the position of your axle, c's, and upper link position...

Thanks...a few questions/suggestions...

Either throw a Jato rod end on the front uppers at one end of each or just unscrew the rod ends you have on there a few turns in order to get them to mount in the hole that sandwiches them between the cab and the center portion of the chassis. Caster looks good and geometry is in a good starting place.

How do your shocks feel mounted that way...do they have a large air bubble towards the end of the stroke? From mine and several others I've spoken to...the SCX shocks just don't seem to work when mounted upside down like the big bores do due to their bladder-less design. What weight oil did you go with...just curious.

Servo horn...does that one allow you to max out the steering in both directions?

If the rear shocks are still in the same holes they were in the first post with pictures I'd recommend trying them mounted one more hole towards the center of the chassis. This probably won't work out until the blue springs show up though.

Oh yeah...which battery is that orange one?

I tried a jato rod end but they were too long and I didn't feel like cutting them down at the time. I didn't know about the air bubble issue so I will swap them when my springs come in. I am running 30wt. The servo horn does give me full steering...barely. The battery is a Gens eco 800mah... it's a little big/heavy but is a good practice battery.

Hmmm. Move the front uppers back one hole and retake a pict of the front. The caster should be dead on then. With the case sitting parallel to the ground.

If I do that the case will be pointed down.....I assume our lower links are different OR our link mounts are different. Our rigs are not going to be setup the same unless we have exactly the same parts. It looks pretty good the way I have so I will probably leave it once I put a jato end on it and move it back one hole like Ryan suggested.

Mailman brought me some goodies today"thumbsup"
It is much better with the blue springs, I also climbed the steps to the porch which I couldn't do with the pink springs. It has more flex than the Moonbuggy had so I may end up limiting the shocks a little more. I am going to try it like it is for a while first.

No limiting necessary with those shocks...and I'd actually recommend removing the rubber bump stops that came on the SCX shocks also. I just checked my SS chassis and it looks like I had the front shocks one hole further back on the front than you do...still in the top row like you have them too. I can't tell for sure from those pics, but just FYI I had the rear shocks in the 2nd hole from the center or the 3rd hole from the rear.

Do you have spacers between your upper links and the cab and inner chassis...can't tell in the pics? Should be set up like this...cab plate...rod end...nylon spacer...inner chassis plate...cross brace.

This was actually a huge deal with my SS chassis and once I built it that way it was amazing! ( to me anyways)

The rear shocks are in those holes, I will move the fronts to match yours. I don't have the spacers in there, I will install those as well. Thanks for all the info!

Installed T1E lowers that Sterling gave me....thanks dude! Also did some grinding on my trans cases.
