Kevin, I don't understand his 93.3 the planet radio station analogy here either. Sterling??

My phone likes to screw stuff up. Damn Droid. The Planet is hard rock. Hey Kevin did you see where Fiscus had went a 4.43 today on the radials?

UMMM..............One question....... I thought we were all building scalers.....and ummm.... you seem to have built a sumbmarine.:ror:

I'd have to agree here. The only thing scale about this would be: "O'Shit, We're F***ed!""thumbsup"

I saw the thread title but didn't get a chance to look through it. That's crazy. Hoosiers or Mickeys?

Well as ya'll have read I'm working on coming up with an aluminum hood for my Sammy project. The reason being that I can't bring myself to cut up a $25 body just for the hood. I also like the scale-ness of the metal body panels. I tried molding one straight off of the lexan body knowing that it probably wouldn't work too well, but I tried it just to say I did. Once I confirmed that it wasn't gonna work too well I started researching what I could use to make a mold. I went to Michael's this morning and picked up some modeling clay that you can bake in the oven when you're done to speed up the drying process. Longer story shorter I made a mold and then whipped up two more hoods tonight. I'm gonna have to make a few before I get the process down and I'm happy with the result. At this point I believe I need to go get some wooden tools to use rather than the plastic versions that I ordered. The plastic tools have seams...and wood tools are a little more "forgiving" when working with the metal from what I understand. Here's where I'm at...

Very nice Ryan! Do some doors for it as well, and welcome to dent city "thumbsup" My chevy is getting pretty ragged.

Nice work Ryan. What type of material are you using? Doesn't look like Aluminum more like the rolls of shim stock that I have at work."thumbsup"

Thanks guys! I'm trying to figure out what to do about the bottom lip...not sure about rolling it under for two reasons...1 I'd have to do a lot of sanding on the mold...2 I'm just not sure about it!

The material is 36 gauge Aluminum tooling foil.

USPS brought some RPP goodies by the house this morning...whatcha think?
