Projects

Sorry I have been absent lately. I have my yota truggy down to a bare frame. Getting new axle housings and bearings. Also added a bombproof transmission to the mix. Stripped the paint off the frame and will be repainting it black again. Plans are to rearrange the electronics to make room for a smaller 3s pack. Got a new set of omf bead locks to go with the new paint job that will be going on the body. I changed the MIP shafts out for pinned styles. Also got a 4pl radio to control the winch. Also found my OLD comm lathe. Put a nice cut on the Holmes motor! Never thought I would use that lathe again lol! I will get some pics up asap! Will be a completely rebuilt rig when I get done!

Word up T man, looking forward to seeing that sweet yota soon! I am in the process of getting another event/comp setup b4 the New Year or right after. Hope to see it rolling here shortly!

Finally got a 1:1 toy to play with on the weekends when not playing with the 1:10's. '02 TJ on 35's.

Im a new comer to the crawling world, i have a 2.2s. Castle micro mini esc, 35T novak tera claw, losi nc trany and losi axles. my crawler is very slow, how can i go about getting more wheel speed?

Go brushless or lower turn motor. Those are worm gear driven so tons of reduction. So to get more wheel speed is dropping turns or increasing kvs or increasing pinion size.

Generally everybody runs a 13.5 or 17.5 brushless motor in the losi just b/c it will get you more wheel speed and you don't have to worry about burning up the brushes. The worm gears seem to be a bit hard on a brushed motor especially the lower the turn you get to get wheel speed, but don't let wheel speed make you feel like your crawler isn't capable.....I ran my losi for a year with slow wheel speed and it was very capable. It will make you a better driver to learn to excel with a slower truck.

CORRECT ^^^^

Well ive done most of the work in his crawler, got a novak 35 t motor and a 16t pinion on it an get bound up pretty easy. im out of ideas and he dont have money for a brushless set up

Nice Fo Runna man, should get you by for a few 100 or so. I have since some high numbers on those odometers before on the older models (250-300K +)..
