project "Ultimate Rock Bug"

@TKPN
Can you explain how the fishing lines attach to the inner cylinder, it seem like it would kink the line but yours works really well. Your work is impressive!!!!

The lines are bound on the center of the inner shaft.
The inner shaft is too small diameter to be fixed by using a screw.

cool build up.
Need more info on How the steering is done,
Do you have the 2 servos mixed opposite so one pulls while the other releases? Guessing that one servo pulls to turn left and the other servo pulls to steer right, string is attached to center of shaft and the string is pulled from outer part of shaft housing which pulls the wheel in that direction, whie the opposite servo releases and visa versa to steer other direction.
does that sound right guys?

No, one steering uses only one servo. My rig needs two servo because it's 4ws. One pulley works pull and release at the same time.

some updates.

I started to make interior parts.
Dashboard panel is full size."thumbsup"

I decided to make my original seats because the Rock Bug's seat is different shape from commercial products for RC cars.
At first, I made a mold of seat.

Next step, silicon molds for casting were made.
My first challenge.

Urethane foam seats were made by casting.
They are very light weight, only 16g! "thumbsup"

Wow, the attention to detail here is insane!

There are still a lot of work that I should do. Detail up of molds, driver figure, electronic circuit for night run and more. I will not see the end yet.
