Wow. Almost 10 years since this was updated but I was fixing some things on the old XJ last night and wanted to swap to some better performing 1.55 tires.

the coil spring / shock set up is perdy kool
I FINALLY got around to painting the sliders. After years and years of them staying a flat tan primer I hit them with a semi gloss black.
Then I took it out in the sunlight. This paint still really pops.

Yeah I agree the Swampers look the part. Plus the very old 1.55 rock crushers were just not great performers. About time I painted those sliders. I sprayed them a flat tan primer years ago as they were originally black but came scratched. I always intended on a black respray. Damn I sure procrastinated.
