Thanks ya'll. It's gonna be a long haul of things to do for sure. And I'm not quite sure if a year of bouncing back and forth will give me time to get it all done. But for once, I'll be maxing the PTO time I can take off and spend some time up there. Network runs will be important, since I can work from home. I'll focus on getting that started, which will allow me to WFH and work on the house at the same time.

I've been on the verge of pulling the trigger on an emtb several times recently. Eventually I'll do it and get myself back on the trail. I haven't ridden offroad since my last back surgery in 2021.

If you like mtb and outdoors, do that! e-mtbs are fun and allow to explore more. You'll always need to pedal so it still physical

I rode a Specialized turbo levo at a demo several years ago. It was excellent and let me ride well beyond my normal endurance level.

I've had these for a little while now, got new waxed cotton laces for 'em both:

Jim Green African Ranger boots - Tan are the Originals and Olive are the newer Barefoot style (no shank, very flexible sole)

They are handmade in South Africa, incredibly comfortable (no real break in period needed) and both of my pair are Nubuck leather.

They are available in other colors, and smooth leather as well.

For every 10 pair they sell, they donate a pair to the REAL African Rangers that go out in the wilderness and catch poachers!

If you have wide feet like I do, you will love these...

My feet are almost wider than they are long! Kidding but yep... wide is all I can comfortably wear. I'll be looking into these. Nice looking too.

the only shoe i can were that dosent cut off circulation in my foot are flip flops
1 foot is size 10 tripple wide one is 11 double wide the short foot is alot wider than the long foot so basicly its no shoe or custom shoes so i spent most of my life barefoot till i found crocs flipflops safty sandles lol

Jim Green will sell you boots of different sizes for one foot or the other - and their custom pricing is not much more than their standard pairs.

They aren't exactly cheap - but they give great value for what you pay - and they are very easy to get resoled, replacement soles are cheap.

They even said they are planning to make a YouTube video showing you how to resole their boots yourself!
