Pics of your latest purchase

After I got out of the Marines I ran a skate shop, this was when everyone was riding 10" wide fishtail decks and concaves were gradually getting deeper - before longboards and popsicle stick decks.

We were the first Vision Street Wear distributor in south central Texas, I had a pair of their turquoise suede leather hightops given to me to wear at the release party.

Timbuk3 played the in-store, of "The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades" fame..."thumbsup"

Fresh off the boat from China

Ordered mine mid last week from the same site and hasn't shipped yet lol.

So even though I told myself I couldn't buy another kit of some sort and usually good at keeping my own word, I couldn't help in purchasing stuff for the next LCG kit. Yet another GSpeed but at least it's their V4 and it'll be going G Shot with FMM. I plan to get a IERC Merge X Evo once that kit releases.

Ugh I need to finish my incomplete rigs.

I’m in the same boat, okay, well almost…

After all my recent shenanigans with my son wanting the Maxx and me buying two used X-Max’s, I bought this.

Sweet rig and too good to pass up. I might hand this one over to the wife. Which means I can drive it when I want as well.
Gotta keep all the fluids moving…

Nice grab! When you see a good deal (especially if it's in person), sometimes you can't pass it up.

Nice! Can't wait to try one out!

I remember you telling yourself that!:lmao: It happens every time! I never listen either!:ror:

Nice Team GSpeed buy! I've been eyeing the new V4 chassis rails. Looking forward to seeing this build!"thumbsup"

Those are both rad. Shorty's started in Santa Barbara, Ca, where I'm from. Shorty's was super popular around here, of course, but I mainly rode Girl decks.

I mainly rode Alien Workshop and Toy Machine. My dad would only buy me Walmart or Sport Authority boards, so it was nice when I was able to get actual decks. I got an element once and broke the tail off pretty quick, never got anything other than AW or TM again :lmao: 25 years later and those are still the only decks I'll skate.

Thats awesome man! You must have some cool memorabilia!

I still have an OG Hosoi Hammerhead

I wore through one of those, one of my favorite shapes!

Currently I have an Earthwing 36" longboard, but it's shaped old-school.

(which makes it about 11" wide..."thumbsup")

I have gotten way outta condition during Lockdown, however.

Probably break my ass going out for a ride right now!

Motor and FMM shaft can't exist in the same space, so losing the puller pro stubby... The new SENSORED 3bros black jacket motor should sneak in under there nicely.

Nice. I'm too old and out of shape to skate anymore. I bought a CCS blank deck with indy trucks and big Powell wheels like a decade ago, because I wanted my dog to pull me on it. He wasn't into it. I pulled it out like 5 years ago to make sure I could still pull a kickflip. Landed one after a few tries and threw it back in the shed before I broke myself.

My family was stationed in Jakarta, Indonesia in '76 when I got my first board - California FreeFormer yellow plastic deck about 4.5" wide, trucks were so narrow you could barely fit a skate key in between 'em to tighten the kingpin. Loose ball bearings, no grip tape on the plastic deck... made it hard to do hardly anything except go in a straight line!

A buddy of mine and myself made the base newspaper in 29 Palms when we were stationed there (when it was me that was in the service, my Dad was almost done with his 30 in Egypt at the time). We were photographed skating the drainage ditches on base, and the transitions on those things were murderous! Had to ollie going up and coming down the banks at an angle to keep from face-planting...

This was back in about '84-'86. After one tour I was done with that mess, and skating wherever the heck I wanted to as a civilian again, instead of being yelled at for being on the sidewalk by NCOs and then yelled at for being on the street by officers! Seemed like skatin' ditches didn't make anyone mad.

Those were the days..."thumbsup"

(it did end up making me basically a ditch-rat after I got out, though - always my favorite terrain to skate. I found much bigger ones in Texas! Although I never made it to the L.A. River - that would have been fun to try out!)

Bought OSRC's Capra slider (minus the wheels & tires). Mainly bought it for the axles for an upcoming build but in the meantime it'll get some electronics. This will be a perfect candidate as a lender rig for the long haul.

:lmao: I hear you. I mostly ride around and do small ollies and 50-50s. Still fun, but my better skating days might be behind me.

Kind of been keeping this on the down low, it’s not in my possession yet.. but I’ll likely be buying the craziest RC I’ve ever owned in a couple weeks. For those of you that have seen what I’ve built and owned you know that’s saying something.
Trying to work out a partial barter deal but nonetheless I should have this thing soon.

Dang… that looks like a Super Baja Rey, but a whole lot nicer. I had an SBR2 for a bit, and it was pretty nuts, but this thing looks like it’s from a different planet.
