Who cares what they look like, the rubber is 100 times better. And no, that is not the mule, its still sitting right here, spinning in autocad on my computer.

The folks at Panther said their new tire, when it goes into production, will have more side treads. The compound on the proto tire is Panther's "clay" compound which is soft and sticky. They tried an even stickier compound, but from what I understand it would set up right in the mold. The clay compound feels pretty good.

Dirk, as the "self-annointed" Proline rep on RCC, I would ask that you at least give the panther thread the same respect I have given your several proline threads.

Guys, I deleted the attached photos of the Proto tires. I mistakenly added them to the RCX gallery when I was doing the coverage. Panther asked me not to post the pics yet so they have been removed from the gallery as well.
If you saved any pics to your PC, I will ask that you do not post them until Panther says we can.
I will say that I bolted the tires up to my rig and drove them around the RCP course for a little while (until I fell through the course) and they worked very well.
