Opinions on Vp cvd's ?

Vanquishproducts@yahoo.com And we will get you sorted out.

Steve

Ok it has been 2 weeks now with no word
You tell me to get in touch with you which i did, you tell me to give u my shipping info which i did, and you would send my replacement parts out the next day.

I have not heard a word from you at all since this time and i have ask many times now for at least a simple answer to weather they have been sent or not.
I`m guessing not as they would of been here by now.

I did not want to write on here about this but when i get no answer for a week and a half straight you leave me no choice.

Sorry
Mike

Dude you need to chill, give them a call and try and work it out over the phone. I called them back after 2 weeks of waiting and was pleasant with them and vise versa. Being an ass about it isn't going to get you anywhere...

A lot of times we respond to people and our email goes to a spam folder.

If the pin falls out after u take the red ring off is the shaft screwed to?

Otherwise I think I just need new pins and new outer red rings I think.
This is what i have for a email on the 1/2/13

You mentioned taking pictures here, could you send pictures, so we can make a better decision?

Pins are suppose to be able to come out, so i am not fully understanding the problem. I am trying to understand why the red ring would cause binding. The ring is just there to hold the pin in place.

Managed to break the stub part on flat ground with running tekin 35t motor, only had them for about 3 weeks only run them about three times. :???:

I broke one yesterday, in about that same place. What's the warranty on these? Funny thing is I'm still running the stock universal shaft in the rear...

Here are a couple of pics. If it's covered under warranty cool, if not, just let me know how much for new end. I need parts quick. I have a comp coming up. I'll need a new red collar ring too. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1359907774.776838.jpg

Still love VP products, I own a bunch of your stuff.

Are you using Vanquish steering knuckles? That set up looks funky!! Almost backwards.

The knuckles are VP XR10/wraith. And you can run them either way. It just worked out to be a better angle for my servo/steering linkage.

Most everything on all my rigs are Vanquish.

I guess your photos are not too clear. I have no idea why the red collar would be ground like that.

Maybe a rock or something small got in there and that forced it to jam and grind....that is all I can think of.

Is than a VP aluminum axle housing you are using too? To me it looks like painted plastic. I guess your photos are not too clear. I have no idea why the red collar would be ground like that.

The ones I have seen where the collar was ground had the screws holding the knuckle on just a little to long and the ends of the scres cut into the collar.

Just bad iPhone pics. Taken on my work bench. Not painted plastic. I would never have anything that cheesy on any of my rigs. The axle housings are RC4WD's aluminum. Just waiting on VP's Rock Jocks to come out and I'll be replacing them.

"thumbsup" exactly, "thumbsup"it was a on the course repair and I just wanted to finish, didn't care at the time.

I contacted Steve weeks ago about buying another one, he said to email VP and they would get one out to me free of charge. Which I thought was cool. Still waiting on that one... I know that they have been slammed with the new releases.

So was there a bad batch of the VP VVD's? Is that why more than one had theirs snap the same way? I hope they fixed that problem!! Expensive parts to buy and have that happen. :(

I called Vanquish today. Awesome customer service! I offered to purchase a new stub end and they said no, and are sending me out a new one free of charge today. Wow! :shock:I will be buying more of your products. Thanks again VP!

Next on the list... Rock Jock axles, set for the wraith and a XR width set for my new 1.9"thumbsup"

Stock compatable drive train is limited to what can be done to make it bullet proof. Ive seen enough proof to say the cvd's are as tough or tougher than any other stock compatable cvd's.

But there are things we can do to make it more bullet proof such as the stub diameter and cvd diameter. but they are require modification to the stock rig.

We have been doing several warantee repairs simply because we dont have the replacement parts up just yet for people to replace stuff they just flat out broke.

Thanks for clearing this up! I just bought some VP VVD's to go with my VP locker in the front end. I have all VP parts up front and rear too. I love the red anodized color. I also like the fact that you sell the Stage 1 kit which makes it a little cheaper to get all the goods in one kit.

Keep up the good work guys!! "thumbsup""thumbsup"
