only cut tires. post up your cut tire photos

mjc597,
Hows it perform after you cut them?

my son didn't run his truck long, had a servo failure.. but my 1.9's did well.. i noticed the biggest difference in areas where the sidewalls and outer edges of my tires were grabbing...it really woke them up as far as sidebite goes.

Ill throw a few out there...
heres my two face 2.2 cut
always wanted to try this with the 1/1 tire these are based on the 2nd gen goodyear mtr

1.9 R35 compound Trepadors. I have not run them yet after being cut, but I know they'll be far better than they were box stock.

I used my Dremel cut off wheel. Hold tire in one hand close to my body, Dremel in the other hand...arm tucked close to my body as well. Just cut in 2" long sections, hold the Dremel still, rotate the tire with the other hand.

Nice technique, too many distractions for me I suppose. Your tires look great though.

Sweet tires guys.

Here's the 3rd and final cut on my pits. They perform pretty good so are now worthy of my good wheels they are pulling vertical climbs in rocks and really tearing up the dirt

I too did the "California cut" on my 1.9 Treps, I used the cut-off wheel to open the sipes in the center lugs, and in the shoulder lugs.

These tires absolutely kick ass now!

Has anyone ever just shortened a tire but kept the same width and same wheel size ? I want to run either one of my Pitbull 2.2's on my scx10 but there to tall. I like a 4.5 to a 4.75 tire and there both over 5.5. To 5.75. That's a lot of money to screw up. Does anybody do this ?
