OFFICIAL USRCCA Judges Test

What reverse rule (as interpreted) do you think violates the intent rule?

The fact that the questions states two reverse were used, but the test says only one was charged. Just seems like a loop hole... Something that the intent rule was suppose to get rid of.

Its just confusing really, and I have yet to see an answer that really explains it and makes sense.

This test tells me 2 things:

1) I need to attend more comps.
2) I need to read the rules...they have changed quite a lot from the last time I comped:ror:

Very cool"thumbsup"

certificate.php

Guess I should read the rules more often. :ror:

Thanks guys for putting the work into the test. Thought I had a pretty good handle on the rules, but the test showed otherwise (80 and 88 so far with stupid mistakes ) I've learned quite a bit. I wasn't aware of the "high centered" rule and reverses, and I was not aware of the "tumble down a hill and hit a gate out of sequence then hit a boundry is only 10 points" rule.

This will raise competence of crawler judges for sure. "thumbsup"

This is not a rule debate thread .....its a Judges Test thread if you have question about an answer on the test please feel free to ask.

If a there is a RULE you disagree with please feel free to start your own thread, or contact your Rules Committee Member

Learned a ton with this, thanks. Just wish I would have been smart enough to figure out putting my certificate up.

Will the judges test be something that is on going with new questions each week or month?

It would be cool. I like it.

Just finished the test for the first time with 50 questions and made a 90:shock: next time will be better...
Now I'm wondering something; on the list of items that are to be marked as penalties, driving in the wrong direction is not a penalty according to the test but if you enter a gate in the wrong direction you get a 10pt penalty and repositioned to the previous cleared gate. so is this not the same situation

Nope

We change some questions as needed, but it should be basically the same from month to month. Videos and pictures will eventually be added to some questions.

No other action is implied.;-)

Hey Fish, got a ? about the test. There is a question about straddling a gate.

The driver straddles a previously progressed gate with the front axle.

A. No penalty since the gate was already progressed. B. Warn the driver that there will be a gate penalty if they continue to progress the gate with the rear axle. C. Call a gate penalty.

I got the answer correct, but I think it may contradict another question/rule.

It doesn't say he touched the just straddled it. Where there is another question about veritcal plane and there is no penalty. Is straddling but not touching still a vertical plane issue? Just need a little clarifcation, please. I may be overlooking something. Thanks. Dan

There are a million ways to break the vertical plane without touching....and by rule there is ONLY ONE way to straddle.

6.8 - Straddle: A gate is considered straddled if at any time the axle of a vehicle (facing in any direction) passes over any part of a gate marker and both tires of that axle are touching the ground (or any object on the ground) on opposite sides of the gate markers, it is considered a straddle and a Gate Marker penalty is assessed

Yes technically a straddle is breaking the vertical plane without actually touching the gate, which by itself is not a penalty. Straddles are the exception thats covered by rule.

Check out this thread..... http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=281378...it has some related subject matter.
