OFFICIAL Release: Losi Micro Trail Trekker

At this point, we don't have plans for a BND version of the Trail Trekker. It is possible that there will be one in the future.

Thats some serious bad marketing, lets release an older vehicle with the options then force another remote on you. Either make all vehicles with a BND option or dont make them at all imo,

Hope that doesnt sound like Im coming off an ass, and I know its not your say but I got enough junk remotes from the am stuff who needs 2 2.4s when u need only 1. I mean do people not think of this stuff before hand? Although buying the Non Bnd for 10 dollars more and ebaying the remote for 20$ is win

other then that looks awesome the wider stance looks cool. any reason why they made upper bent links and not lowers? I know the uppers are prolly bent to let the tires turn without hitting but why not the lowers as well? especially since the longer WB will make them hit easier. not that it matters for most that we make our own but .

Each weight piece is 7g, for a total of added per wheel.
The LOSB1588 set includes enough weights for 2 wheels.

I like the weights, another option to use. "thumbsup"

Man I wish you had a BND, I have WAY TOO many radios already.

X2 on the BND

No BND? really? ouch. You better get on that quick!!!

Better get that BND version sorted out quick, just like many people round these here parts I need another transmitter like I need a hole in the head.

x10000....

I have to agree with everyone else. there is a definite need for a BND.

I would buy one right now if a BnD was available:x

If Bnd was available I would buy one immediately.

Looks like something to consider. Seems like plenty of people would buy a BND version, Including me.

Yep, I'm sick of all the cheapo radios that everybody pushes with their RTRs.

My 2 cents: I don't see the target market for the Trail Trekker being much different from that of the original Micro Crawler. Said another way, I doubt there is some huge untapped RC audience that took a pass on the original kit but will jump at the new Trekker. Losi is re-targeting us, but has raised the stakes this round. As a matter of economics, I can pick up a BND Micro Crawler from plenty of places online for ~$85. That leaves me with $65 to drop on other goodies to match the price of the new rig. IMHO that makes the new kit in its current form really underwhelming. Put a BND option out there (just like literally every other crawler Losi sells) and I'm in. Until then, it will be waiting (or never) game. :???:

I was going to preorder one from my LHS they told me $149.00 I'm gong to wait a bit. I hoped that they would have been a little cheaper, maybe they got the price wrong.

ill agree it seems like a bad idea to not have a BND version, though its also not something new.
the micro crawler didn't have a BND for a while and the micro SCT/rally still has AM and no 2.4 or BND

Though i don't agree this is the same market as the micro rock crawler. this is for those who want a quick scaler they can drop a body onto. not everyone wants to buy a crawler and build a chassis just to drop a body on.
its also a bit wider with the new hexes and axle stubs so that will mean new parts to upgrade

I think this is a great and welcome addition to the Micro Lineup.
Ill pick one up used or when the price comes down or there is a BND thats for sure

BTW any thoughts on the width?

what is the actual width of the trail trekker?
the losi site shows 85 mm. I'm guessing that's axle width
because the losi micro crawler is 86.36 wide listed on the site and measures about that beadlock to beadlock.
if this is 3mm wider on each side does that make the trail trekker 92mm wide?

The "original" Micro Rock Crawler did cost 149$ as well when it "hit the market" ...

I realize this is a crawler site, but something of this scale that is a little bit faster to run around the house with would be awesome.

Also, another vote for a BnD. Last thing I need is another radio sitting in a box in the basement.

Be nice to have more colors, not just black or silver. Red would be nice, but the beadlocks need to match the body color.

if you buy this you are going to keep that body? i have never used a body that came with a kit they never look real, only like toy's so they could paint it pink
for all i care. they do need to offer a bnd.and why did they not do this to the mrc? I see a lot more mrc builds .

Mr.B

Eh.

The only things i would buy would be the wheel weights, and MAYbe the chassis.

But then again the geo and layout is the same as the original chassis, plus some extended frame rails.

So people's $$$$ is better spent on the TCS delerin chassis, AND/OR Blade's scale chassis.

Both are better for scale builds, and they are in my experience, more capable/better handeling than the stock triangles LOL.

If you buy a BND original MRC its $85 on ebay, + a $25 1/24 model kit of your choice, +$45 for a Blade Chassis, or $20 for a TCS chassis.....

Thats $135-$155 or so for a scale build that is more capable and better looking than this "New" $160 MRC that has a worthless radio and an ugly lid.....

The one can like save a little more and add better tires and CNC rims for $50!

So yea, those wheel weights are cool......."thumbsup"

really bud? man i spose maybe you just shouldnt buy it then huh? losi just put out another product, geared toward a particular crowd. alot of people dont WANT to go out and buy a blade chassis and modify there crawler or dont even know those mods exists. this is a product that obviously WONT sell to people on this forum, and for good reason. but for those newbs or people that really arent into the modding end or RC this is the perfect little toy. idk guys, it looks like a great little truck, just definately not for us is all.

AND OF COURSE THERE WILL BE A BND GUYS COME ON GET REAL they offer a bnd for every other vehicle why the heck wouldnt they for this one? have some faith lol

ya thats what i thought only the mini n micro crawler r bnd, all of the micro helis and airplanes from horizen r bnf, i agree this is a good starter truck to futher some ones ability to learn all the goodies and ins-n-outs, it will be a great truck for my 4 year old daughter but i still dont need another crap radio, if they would relese both with or with out the tansmitter we would be happy but untill then we can complane about it :flipoff::mrgreen::mrgreen:
