OFFICIAL Release: Losi Micro Trail Trekker

One detail that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere yet is the improved stance of the new truck.

The Trail Trekker is 3mm wider per side. We also created a new stub axle with more threads to accomodate the wider hex.

The wider stance combined with the inboarded shocks made a huge improvement in flex and stability.

That's a neat chassis, sorta half scale half crawler.
I was trying to build a chassis very similar to that from a Pinch chassis. I wanted it to look scale but still crawl.

Copied from a post I made in another thread on the subject:

Losi Guys - since you really seem to be listening here, I'd like to suggest some slightly smaller tires please? The current Micro Claw is about the right size for a 1:20th scale styrene model body. Smaller tires would open up a lot more possibilities for 1:24th scale bodies to be used and not look "cartoonish" or monster truck-like. RC4WD is making some nice looking Micro tires, but they're measuring slightly larger than Micro Claws. Somebody needs to expand the Micro tire market, why not the folks who really kicked the whole Micro market into gear in the first place? We need the same variety of tire choices we have for 1.9"

This new version is very interesting Del Monte, I'm ready to pull the trigger on a couple already...

X2 on the BND I already want another one but dont need another remote. Hopefully they realize one. I'm site they will in time (hopefully short time haha)

I like the weights a lot.

Is the motor new? or the same?

And your'e saying the new tires and rims have a thicker hex, and the stubs are longer as well to accommodate the bigger hex?

No BND? really? ouch. You better get on that quick!!!

I kinda like the chassis, for the bumpers. Can we buy the bumpers seperatly? I already have a scale chassis that doest have a non scale triangle sticking out the bottom..

Better get that BND version sorted out quick, just like many people round these here parts I need another transmitter like I need a hole in the head.

Def a good looking truck, and I like the fact you finally got some wheel weights for the stock wheels. I see myself picking one of these up once there is a BND version available.

Damn, im trying to save $ for the new HTC dual core but i really want to add this to my micro collection

what is the actual width of the trail trekker?
the losi site shows 85 mm. I'm guessing that's axle width
because the losi micro crawler is 86.36 wide listed on the site and measures about that beadlock to beadlock.
if this is 3mm wider on each side does that make the trail trekker 92mm wide?

looks neat. though, i have to agree with everyone else. there is a definite need for a BND.

also, do you guys plan on producing different styled bodies for this rig? that would be real nice.
