Official Chesapeake, VA beach, Suffolk Trail Run Thread

10-4, The only 2.2 meats I have run are the RC4WD Rock Crushers. They are a beast of a tire. I had to modify the hell out of my scx10 just to run em. I did love the ground clearance they provided but in order to keep from cutting a massive amount of my fenders/bumpers, I had to put a hella body lift on it. In the mud they were awesome but it just made my cog too high. Im running tsl bogger 1.9's now. I still have decent clearance and my body is almost shock height. I have about 4mm of suspension lift at the moment but im in the middle of a rebuild/overhaul so thats subject to change.
Anyhow thanks for the info you provided on the BFG's. I have a couple other builds on the back burner and one of them is a 2.2

I won these bad boys for $20 on ebay. Rc4wd's and they sell for like $60 or $80 a pair. When I got them I realized as soon as I opened the packaging that they were much too large for any of my rc's....Until now. They are a exact fit on the rear of the EXO.:)

I have to get it ready. I have to hit up the LHS and see if they carry spur gears. Ol boy really wanted to keep the vxl system that was in it so I basically brought a roller with a brand new traxxas 2075 servo for $40.00 I honestly doubt this thing has had 10 packs run through it. I have a couple things on my immediate upgrade list that I wanna install over the next week our two. I love the look of this thing. As for tomorrow like I said gotta find some parts:beer:

What problems did you run into that I can take care of ahead of time? I have a list im curios though if i'm correct in my thinking.

Biggest pain in the a$$ to work on and run. Lose the interior for easier access and lower temps. At least the whole cage was only like 8 screws to get off the chassis. Roll bar takes a beating but likes to deform. Recommend little washers on the front body plate as the tiny screw heads like to pop through. I didn't break anything running it but the guy I traded it to broke a rear hub after running debbies indoor track.

Yeah it is a bit of a pain to work on but I had to have it and I couldn't pass it up for the price. Hopefully after a couple upgrades she wont give me any shit.

I dont really care for the way that the rear shocks mount either. Gonna have to do some modifying there.

1. STRC hubs - they come with oversized bearings, and you need them because the stock ones explode after a few battery packs

2. STRC Shock caps - stockers keep blowing off, unless those are big bores on it already

2. Motor Mount - Stock one is too weak for actual running, I can vouch for the vanquish unit being a beast

3. Lose the interior like Mike said with washers on the body mounts and drop a tenshock 401/411 in it and you'll be set to go break more parts :flipoff:

Yeah mike I have that stuff on my list. I have replaced the shocks. All I need to run is the spur which none of our fine lhs have in stock.
