Official Chesapeake, VA beach, Suffolk Trail Run Thread

I'm going to try to get more/better video of the FJ going through the whoops. I only took a few minutes of video last time because I wasn't sure how it'd turn out. Not bad for a phone. Going to try some different angles, hopefully get some more rigs in it too. Anyone have a suggestion for what time we should go? 1:00 work for everyone?

As long as I finish gettin my truck fixed up, I will be there. I should be able to finish it tomorrow night, so we'll see what happens. For now, plan on seeing me there.

Well, my motor seized between when we left and I got home. Guess the mud dried inside it. With lots of water and compressed air I managed to free it up. Ordering a new one to keep on standby.... My FR C hub screw came out again, so I'm either going to have to replace those or fill em with putty and re-tap. Overall not a bad day, guys. Had lots of fun, gotta make some cheap repairs. See you guys when I get back from FL.

The screws I used on the chubs were the ones that came in the original kit. Suppose I overtightened em..... They do just go into plastic afterall. Not too wet. You could stay completely dry with no trouble if u had the desire to. We, for some reason feel like we must submerge our crawlers....

I have some aluminum chubs you can have.

I appreciate it, but I just ordered some before I saw this post. Have another problem now. Think I somehow left my radio out there. Its not here at the house or in my truck. Can't imagine leaving it behind, but was trying to get the kid in the truck.......

Well, turns out what I thought was a motor on its last leg was in actuality a partially stripped idler gear in the transmission. Parts on the way. Wont be here in time to do anything this weekend. Will get them in this week..... You guys have fun out there this weekend!
