OCM/Newage - Enroute/Berg General Chat

Very nice!! Good to see other vendors getting them.

What about other parts like axle shafts, gears, tranny cases?

Yup we are ready for a forum.

My mouse has been smoking lately........and I have had these done for weeks.

Awesome, thanks for posting that Josh. Just picked up some axles, that's exactly what I've been waiting for.

I am glad to see that TCS has picked these up. I woould bet that the parts support will not be a problem now. I have a feeling that Axial kits sales may see a drop.

Nice job on getting this stuff available to us. Interesting chassis kit you got there, looks pretty versatile. Guess I'll have to try it out now. What are all the holes in the top middle used for?

Can anyone tell me what the width would be if you were to use two short axles, instead of 1 long and 1 short. I like to have a narrower rear width, and I am just wondering if that would be a way to do it. The tires hitting the motor wouldn't be a concern, since the rear doesn't steer.

if I am measuring it correctly, a rough estimate give or take a little, the width would be 16.8 cm to the edge of the outside of the hex (not the little part that extends further off of the hex)

Thanks Kevin. That would probably be a little too narrow. I'll have to come up with something else.

Its going to come down to what wheels you use. I would think if you tried to use two short tubes the motor would be hitting the tires.

if he is using them for the rear axle I dont think it will, the short tube is 7.5 cm from the center gear case to outside of the hex. as long as you dont use a full negative offset wheel it may be possible. something that has the offset of the proline wheels or the axial wheels may be able to work (the proline wheels have a little more negative offset than the axial wheels)

One big problem to the short sides setup is mounting any links to the axle. The motor will get in the way.
