Nor-Calrcrc 2010/11 Competition Series Information

Looking that way. You never know though, it could easily start back up soon. No current plans that I know of today though.

Oh my God! Are you serious? This is the first year I was planning on being there for the entire series. I cut down my Saturday workload and was just about to hit you up to see if the first comp would be second sat of Oct like usual.

Chime in here guys! This is all we got thats close to the south bay!

Is comp crawling really dead??

I care about the loss. However, being involved with running the club since forever ago and dealing with all the headaches with little gratitude I'm out. DPDSmurf was gracious enough to take charge for the last few seasons and for that, I thank him.

I understand and am sorry that people were not grateful enough. I am very greatful and also really happy to have been able to hang out and comp a few times last season.
I know that you and some of the other guys have been involved since the start and are burned out on the comp scene. But maybe instead of just saying F-It, we as a club should have seeded a new generation to take over. Thats a big mistake for our local comp scene. We are making sure that everyone south of san fran has no series to comp except when nbrcc comes down to pacifica or g-tech. Now all comps will be more than an hour away and the others will be too far for most of us to do well in a series. And I'm positive there won't be another approved club around here anytime soon for drivers to get prequalified.

I'd like to say thanks to everyone though, and I hope that we can all get together for a comp at rockaway or ???

I know gunner was trying to take over the club but got no resposnse from BADGER who is the club leader i know if gunner would take over ,NBRCC would give him all the suport he needs and would go to all of his comp. Side note this is a thankless job so don't expect it,i look at it as a way to compete with other top drivers"thumbsup"

Yes, I would have taken over the series, but I don't think you guys would have liked the name change: The Fairy Boys RC Crawling Club. :ror:

I know it would have been some work, but I was willing to try.

That's a great idea! I've driven on Scott's courses and they always test you and your rig. He loves crawling, and hangin' out too, so if he's down then that's great!

Chime in Badger. Maybe this would work out for all of us "thumbsup"

so we just need to here from badger.may b he will take it and start somthing .

I PM'd Dave first, and he said to talk to badger. I PM'd badger and never heard back, so the ball is in his court. Maybe it will just become a small private club now.

I guess I could have started my own small comp club, with no national recognition, (since you can just buy your way into Nats anyway) for the S.F. to San Jose Peninsula area. I would like to wait to see if anything happens first, then maybe just start it next year if Nor Cal dies.

I too will miss NorCalRcRc, I too offered to help(not to lead) and agree with Chino63. But the bottom line is that there are many factors that most of us still in this Hobby/Sport are not looking at.

We had up until the summer of 2010 several clubs in the area, this being Northern California, doing multiple comps with high turnout numbers, but then add to the mix a very competitive level of driving, high dollar rigs, lots of ditance to go between comps, a broken economy with lots of jobless enthusiasts, lots of whining, talking behind the backs and people getting pissed at each other, ect; Then what can we expect?

I think that if anyone has the interest of keeping the Sport alive, is completely possible is just not going to be the same way as two years ago. This is a great opportunity to all of the remainder of drivers from years past, to come through and toghether to form a more resilient comunity of drivers that can continue the Sport with each others support and leave the drama behind cause that is not what rc rock crawling is about, thare are many more things about it to be enjoyed.

Cheer up guys!"thumbsup"

still paying close attention to this thread...and I know of a handfull of others that would participat if we could only get something together...we are all new blood to this hobby.

Are you all mainly scalers...or are there some 2.2 compers in here as well ?

With the help of Scott and I hope others (especially those of you willing to shown interest:)) Nor-Calrcrc will live! "thumbsup"

Once the club leaders are determined I will give them access to an area on the Nor-calrcrc message board that will allow for you to plan and organize.

Thanks for showing interest to keep this going!

"thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"

They passed down the USRCCA not NorCalRCRC!

Sounded like they were over it.

Yes it did, but I still think you're a littlt mixed up. There is USRCCA and there is NorCalRcRc, a sanctioning body and a club. Two different things, USRCCA is not over is going to be ran by Fishmaxx, and NorCal was going to be over, but not anymore!
