New to me Jeep Cherokee turned Raptor

Got a good deal on a rig on this board and once it came in I slapped some stock trepadors on and started my tire wheel hunt.

Came across some almost new Rock Beast 1.9 tires here from a lnew cal guy and went ahead and pulled the trigger. Then I bought some RC4wd Pro 10s here on the board and they showed up today. Got the tires installed I love the combo but I don’t like the color of the Rtr body with the color of the wheels. I’m contemplating either changing bodies or doing and exterior paint work on this body and see how that goes. Once that is done I’ll start fabricating my front and rear bumpers and Rick sliders. Although I kind of like the look of these stock ones but like having metal scale stuff on my rigs.

Took the rig to work and did some crawling up some rocks in the next door station. It did really good I took some video but don’t know how to upload it here but here is a still shot

Very nice! Are those lights on the hood?

I've seen others hosting their videos on YouTube, then embedding or linking them here.

Nice find! I picked one up here too. :)

Looks like maybe the front bumper could be pulled in a bit more if you remove the lights; that would give you more clearance up front if you want. ;)

The lights are mounted on the grille I’ll see if I can pull that bumper in more. Thanks

Ordered the kit xr roof rack and installed it today. Thinking of doing an outer paint job to change the look of this rig from the standard Rtr color.

Looking really good! I like that you got replacement lens covers for the hood spot lights. Did you glue them in to keep them in place?

Added some new custom decals my buddy made for me I think he did a pretty darn good job!!

I got the New shocks in today. I went with the Gmade 100mm shocks but I’m not tonsire of the length. I think it’s to high for my liking. I wonder if they would exchange them at Rc4wd. They haven’t been used just built and mocked up. Or I could go with a 4.75 tire and fill the gap. Let me know what you guys think.

could just fit a piece of tubing inside the shock to limit the extension. then you can fine tune to the height that you like the best

I don’t really want to do that I just messaged RPP to see if I can exchange them if not I’m stuck with these and will have to order some others and keep these either for another build or sell them we will see.

Probably they will not as they are already assembled/used.Just stay with them and in the future maybe doing or buyng a limiting strap or as the others said, just use some fuel tube to lower the height

I would drop back down to 90mm shocks. those are also going to raise your COG, and with the stuff you have on top and as top heavy as they can be already, it'll be a tip hazard, in my opinion.

I kept the stock shocks on mine and went with softer springs to lower the ride height.

edit: I would like to find some other good, adjustable 90mm shocks but having a tough time. The stockers leak a bit, and while its not an overwhelming leak, I would like non-leakers lol.
