New to the forum as well. Have settled on the Vaterra ascender. After much research and help from the guys at Blue Ribbon the ascender looks to be the best fit for me. I've already joined the rc freaks Facebook page and I'm ready for crawl days.

Hey welcome to the forums and to your new addiction. Just remember to take it slow and know that you can take breaks but you'll never be able to fully get away from this hobby now that you've bought your first. The freaks are awesome, very helpful and have helped me to spend way more money than I ever should have. Hope to meet up at one of the M&G this spring..

Ordering the ascender soon, picked up some tires today. Pit bull rock beast. CI foams will be on the list of things to pick up soon."thumbsup"

Research has shown me that the rock beasts are some good tires, I actually got the tires from treasure chest, but blue ribbon has some stuff I will be getting soon. Veteran money only comes once a month so I have to pace myself.

SWEET!!! Come on Monday..lol
I didn't know that it came as a RTR, thought it was a kit but now I understand why you picked up tires before. What charger and lipo you have?

Hey welcome to the site, we should hit the trail together soon. I always have at least one rig running, lol.

FedEx shows delivery today! Dynamite prophet sport, looks to me that it only charges thru the balance cable!

Anytime creeper! I'm a disabled veteran and have a lot of time on my hands.

Thanks for your service!!
I'm down for a gathering as soon as my ankle lets me. I do think we should plan and post up a trail run this spring and give enough time so people could plan.

I'm down for some trailing as soon as my ankle lets me. I'm looking at late April early May before I'm 100% back to work so I may miss a few of the first trips.

I am ready whenever, hikes need to be gentle as I'm not quite into shape anymore! Hell, round is a shape right?

I tend to trail slow, go a couple hundred feet stop and challenge an obstacle then move on, average about 1/2 a mile an hour or slower. The guys at Blue ribbon go about 4x faster than I like to go...

"thumbsup" I wanted rc Rock crawler to help me lose some weight and get me out of the house, gun range cost me money to replenish the ammo and driving around town isn't my style. Even if this gets me to lose 5 lbs I'll be happy!

I'm sure this year I'm going to be slow with my ankle and being out of shape, I'll help hold the end of the line with you Comet.. ;) There's plunty of flat-ish trails we can start with tell we feel like making a bigger challenge. I do want to try the left trail going up to the M at some point maybe this fall.
I do know a really cool area up past Harpers bridge that I wouild like to have a M&G at. Set out a recon G6 type event just for fun maybe some small prizes and a cooler of beer at the end.. :)

She's home! Having a hard time with the beadlocks! Flex is awesome.

Which bead locks? Some can be quite irritating.

Sounds good to me, I am up for crawling anywhere. I like kellys island off spurgin myself, especially in winter when the other trails are snowed in.
