Well, I own two sets of Pit Bull tires, and have had them for over a year, but was never able to mount them because all I had were generic eBay beadlocks. Thus, I have no cool pic to post. However, those new Combat 1.9's caught my eye, so I began brainstorming for what militaristic build I might use them for, and I have chosen to resurrect my SCX10 II Deadbolt RTR. Consequently, I placed an order for a set of Combat 1.9's! I think they'll look great underneath that drab green Deadbolt body. I had been trying to convert that RTR chassis for a Dingo build, but have had problems, so I'm yanking it for now.

$109 is surely better than $149.
And we need some new tire styles for 1.9, and not any more 4.75's - they're too big for 1.9's.

I have RB 4.45's and 4.75's, and a set of Bravens. All are good tires, but the RB XL's are just a bit over the top. They work fine, just too bulky.

I'm in the camp of wanting more tires in the 4.3" - 4.5" range. For me that's a size that works really well on most 1.9 scale trucks that aren't made for all-out competition.

I think these new wheels look pretty great. At $109 I think they'd hit a pretty nice sweet spot. I think clear would be a good second color option. I've never been a fan of colorful wheels beyond black and silver, although I am a fan of white steelies.

Pictures!

My post from before...

"Im in for a set of either the clutch or combat 1.9s.

Love my Rock Beasts! They go anywhere i point my truck n clean out rather well. I agree with inspector86, a set of 1" wide wheels would be nice. Ive got a build im workin on id like to have a set of wide deep dish 1.9s for with kind of a low pro sidewall."

The build im workin on gettin started will be more for looks n pullin a trailer. Heres the look im goin for as far as wheels n tires...

HOLLY FRIGGING COW, I truly never win anything, I can now say I have, and the crazy thing is the Combat is the exact wheel I was going to put on my new VS4-10 with the Pit Bull Growler I just got. What an amazing company to do such a thing for their customers. Thanks again

I guess I’ll need to put a Pit Bull sticker on the car. Something I’ve never done unless I’ve received compensation. This is just that....sticker worthy! It may sound pompous but I just don’t understand buying something, like a shirt with a company name on it, paying for it then giving them free advertising. Again, way to go Pit Bull I’m excited to get the wheels on the VS4-10 once it’s built.

Congrats guys!

Yah...I'm shocked. PB is now my official go-to. "thumbsup"
Thanks guys.

I had a set in my RPP cart last night for $140, and along with a new blazer body and some setup stuff my cart was over $200. Which gave me pause...every once in awhile procrastination is rewarded. LOL

When will the street prices reflect the new $109 selling price?

These are gonna look just awesome on my new Colorado ZR2. Whoot!!
