Hi,

Nobody seen the new G-made duo of scales ?

The GS02F will comme in 2 versions, one civilian and one militarian:

Gmade 1/10 GS02F BUFFALO TS KIT - GMADE
Gmade 1/10 GS02F MILITARY BUFFALO TS KIT - GMADE

This evolution of the GS02 looks pretty good 8)

2 speeds, overdrive, etc... I let you see g-made site for more details

CyberFox.

First I heard of it was on the SNU last night(great show). Looks like a nicely laid out crawler. Like the stock OD at roughly 14%. Wish the body was lower COG. So many SUV style bodies now, wish it were a lower profile pickup. I do like it. There are so many appealing options on the market now.

I just saw that in an email from RCMart. My son's GS02 has been solid, but OD would have really benefitted it. This new variation having that incorporated, along with a few other changes (I don't care much about the 2 speed, but I guess it's still a selling point?) looks like it should outperform the original by a noticeable amount. Being a K5 man myself (and still dragging out my eternal front motor GS01+Ascender K5 build) I'm really drawn to the CUCV M1009 scheme. It certainly looks like they have remolded the Vaterra body, but have included mirrors, lights, and that defining CUCV front bumper. I might have to add this one to my list just so I can have a K5 that I can actually get out and run while my other build continues to look pretty on the shelf. The CUCV scheme, and the GS02 chassis (vs my leaf sprung GS01) are different enough to justify owning 2 K5's, right?

I asked them if they were ever going to release overdrive for the BOM axles, and they said the gears wouldn't fit. I guess this is their answer. I'm anxious to try out the new drivetrain, and I totally love the Military Green scheme.

+1 on the military green version. I love my BOM and will put this one on the wish list!

My GS02 Komodo Double Cab is one of my best performing rigs. My BOM has been ready, just waiting for me to paint the body. Both were extremely enjoyable kits to build (yes, same with a few minor differences). This new rig is very tempting.........

Only have a leaf Sawback from GMade, my first kit, not a single regret except the noisy transmission, but glad I didn't clicked for the BOM, the GS02F is much more interesting ... those axles paired with a US body is a perfect match, way better than the portals-on-everything trend.

way better than the portals-on-everything trend.

It’s a funny trend, no doubt. Makes you wonder if the competition perceived that the TRX4 succeeded in the market due to its portals. Certainly GMade’s R1 didn’t have such influence on the market:ror:

So, I'm looking at them on Junfac. The Military edition is $30 less than the other one.

The only difference I can spot is rims/tires, can anyone see anything that differentiates the two??

Or maybe it's lights? It kinda looks like the civilian version might come with lights built into the roof rack and bumper, but it doesn't actually say anything about that..

The more I look at this rig the more impressed I am.. Some of the key features that excite me about this rig:

.060" Polycarbonate for the body - thick and strong.
Inner fenders
Stealth body mounts
Zero Ackerman
45* steering stock
Good weight bias
14.3% stock OD in the trans/t-case; 0% or 22.2% available
Counter rotating driveshafts (carry-over from the orig Bom I know, but it works..)
Multiple battery tray mount positions
GMade makes the best waterproof Rx box I've ever seen
2 speed stock (I don't personally care for 2spd much, I'd rather have dig but it's neat that's a stock feature)

And pre-orders before Oct 15 get a free upgrade to metal balls for links and shocks.

This thing just moved into my top 3 must haves. I was leaning towards traxxas bronco or k5 but didn’t want portal axles, just something wrong about that on an “American” old school rig.

Got my shipping notification late last night..

I love the excitement of waiting for a new rig that's on it's way...

Just waiting for my "points" to update on Junfac and then I'll be ordering aluminum hubs & knuckles and the light kit for it and I'll be making some ss or brass links, but I don't envision this build needing a bunch of upgrades beyond that. Possible metal driveshafts and the HD lockers. And metal beadlocks of course, almost forgot those.

I think I did pretty well on the purchase price, $320us list but Junfac had $30 off coupons, free shipping for preorders and I got $18 in points to spend on their site. Paid just over $270us (+/- $350cad), not bad.

Welll, I guess I should've updated here last week but better late than never...

My shipment (and from what I can gather all the shipments) were called back to the factory. Seems that they found 2 flaws in the final kits that had somehow not been noted before. Apparently the center transmission gear is broken and the rear axle housing is twisted.

They indicated that this would cause a 1 week delay so I'm expecting the re-ship to happen in the next couple of days..

Obviously it sucks to have the delay but I'm glad they caught before it became my problem to deal with.

Well I got my new shipping confirmation, she's enroute. It was shipped out on Oct 29 so should hopefully arrive next week sometime..

When I ordered on Junfac.com I did pretty well I think-

-Got to use a $30 off orders over $300 coupon
-Free upgrade to metal pivot balls throughout
-Free shipping
-$17 in store credit

so overall I paid $290USD including shipping and the store credits effectively take that down to about $270.

So I've already spent my store credit ordering aluminum hubs & knuckles as well some uncoated steel bead locks that'll rust up nicely. Also ordered some warm white led's to solder up and some drab olive green vinyl to wrap it with since I'm such a terrible painter, might lay down some rust looking colour under the body to show as the vinyl start get rips/nicks/tears.

I've got an SW4+10A bec, a generic 35T motor and a 46kg Jx servo standing by..

Curious if you could share how you qualified for the 30 discount. I tried but then was asked for a 10-30 character number from their shopping mall??

Thanks, John

Well now that I've got my kit and work has started I've been better able to survey the differences, they seem to be:

Different tires; smaller on the military
Different grill & bumpers; fairly obvious differences
Military version has no: roof rack, rock sliders or built in light bars (light bars do not come with lights, just lenses)

Something has been bugging me about the body and just figured it out, the front clip is shorter than on a K5. Much shorter. So it makes the hood appear to have a steeper slope. Not a deal breaker, I know it's not being marketed as a scaler but interested to see how yours comes out. Post a lot of pics please :)
