I am just going to hold off until they get past the whole "new release" swarm and find one that a lhs cant sell and snag it up "thumbsup" Been burnt too many times running out and buying it as soon as its release then 3 months later the price drops or they come out with a kit version with the bling bling!!! the LHS has the scx10 kit for $199 :flipoff: and I had spent $239
Not to mention the xr-10 that I got at "there cost" out the door at 2 bills that now is the going street price a month after I bought it.. :ror:

I put my money down 159 days ago (who's counting) back when there were no real specs or photo's.

I still going to wait patiently like a good boy & wait for my Wraith to make it's way Down Under.

If or when Axial releases a kit then I will line up for that. By then I'll have bashed & probably broken it to hell & be looking forward to a new truck to modify.

I hope you all turn green with Wraith envy when these thing get let loose :ror:

Just canceled my order. I cant have that much money invested when the release date keeps changing.

WOW  each to their own and everyone should put their $$$ into the rig of their choice, but really not getting the whole cancellation route, it's not like Axial are going to bail on this or that you're not going to get the rig, the cold feet mentallity seems crazy to me.

These rigs are going to awesome, those that have them or have had access to them have nothing but nothing but great things to say, think you'll be seeing 'on back order' for some time to come on a lot of sites given the interest this rig has generated.

The UK market is going to be be after the US and Canadian markets so it's a longer wait over here (same for other countries like Oz i'm sure) but a wait that will be worthwhile I reckon

I'm waiting it out no matter what the way I see it is the longer it takes the more time I have to buy parts for it like C's, knuckles, and the list goes on.

I know! Waiting for it has got me a Mamba max pro, Tekin motor, and a new servo. If it doesn't ship soon ill have new C's and knuckles coming also!

For all you guys canceling your pre orders... You Blew it!

This is the funnest, most durable crawl, r/c, anything I have ever had.

I have put almost 12 hours of driving into mine so far with very minimal damage, and 10 of those 12 hours have been beating the hell out of it."thumbsup"

It will be worth the wait.

x2 what Ty said. We had 2 of them up camping this weekend and they got the living piss beat out of them. His more than mine.

Total damage for the weekend was, 1 front upper link, 1 motor, 1 servo, and 1 inner c.

The upper link and inner c were both replaced with xr10 parts, the motor was replaced with a stocker hpi 15 turn, and the servo got the gear flipped around and put back into business.

When I say we were hard on them, I mean we were HARD on them.

JASON!!! SEE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!!! HEHEHEHE

Yay, finally found a computer that let me to the Axial site, so I now have the manual saved to a memory stick. :)

So i've been looking through the manual and in order to convert to rear steer (i know a 3 channel radio is needed as well), all the parts I will need are located on steps 15 and 16 correct? Thats how it appears to me.
Just saw the gear chart, all my ratios are off :( not by much but still off.

True, but it would nonetheless be nice to get an idea of what the shipping date will be.

I can only assume by the lack of an advertised ship date and the fact that the estimated delivery dates keep getting pushed back repeatedly that Axial is having issues with manufacturing. Tooling was likely done months and months ago so they must be having issues with a part not being within spec or ramping up for production or something and until they get it resolved they can't provide a ship date.

I'm sure everyone at Axial is cracking the whip on their manufacturer/supplier, but it doesn't make it any easier for everyone waiting. 8)

All the units that we are bashing around are production units we are told. So I doubt that is the case.

Gotcha. So besides production ramp-up issues, I can't think of why the release date keeps getting pushed back. Any insight? ;)

I don't know anything about it. All I know is that they said these were the handful of production units available. Maybe it took longer to make the required number before hitting the boat, and it's a long boat ride over here, plus time stuck in customs, then recieving, the shipping back out to distributors, then to retail outlets.

By the time they extrapolate that timeline from where they are currently at (not sure what point in that process) then they probably update the date.

If I had to guess anyway.

Well said. I am getting a little annoyed, to be honest. Maybe Axial can at least let us know what the hold up is! lol

I doubt we'll ever know the hold up, not that it really matters. And I wouldn't expect Axial to share that info. with us anyway. I'm just curious when the Wraith will be available for us common folk.

I've been involved in enough product releases to know what kind of stuff causes these delays. But it would be great if someone from Axial would at least give us a realistic ship date. Then again, there has never been an official "release date" for the Wraith (that I know of) so as far as the public goes, no date has been missed. :)

Thanks for the review. I have no plans to cancel my order, but its good to be reminded that it'll be worth the wait....
