Whatever works is fine by me. I'm sure Axial has a reason for going RTR first...they know their numbers better then the rest of us. If this gets more people interested, then it's all good "thumbsup"

I would also prefer a kit, but if the RTR is the only way to get in on this for awhile, I'll get an RTR.

then get a kit later

.

Yes the ae-2 is a nice esc, but it's not brushless capable. If the truck is zippy enough then I will leave it be, but If it's just as fast as say an ax10 then I will do VXL or castle brushless.

By the looks of the video the zip wont be a problem, but I guess we'll be waiting to see. :ror:

Yea it looked pretty quick when he aired it out and then when he pinned it going up that sloping rock. I think the new plastic links must be much tougher than the ones that came on my ax10 rtc because they would be toast in 5 seconds with that much power, I wish I knew what volt battery they were running on in the vids, I hope it wasn't 3s

It's actually not a sidewinder at all. Different board, different FET's, different programming, not brushless capable, different BEC. "thumbsup"

Really? I though it was closer than that, I know it uses castle link for programming.

Its made by sidewinder for axial and uses completely different internals. When you bring it up on castle link it has less than half of the options a sv2 does. I hope it was running on 7.2v in the vids,,,then it will RIP on 3s:evil:

It's made by Castle Creations (sidewinder is another ESC, not a company) for Axial and does use Castle link just like all ESC's made by Castle including the Holmes Torquemaster BRXL.
