So we get new axles! Yipee!"thumbsup"

Thats alot of dough to pay for axles?

I think i will just watch every joe goe out and order one. Then i will patiently wait for the scraps.
;-)

This sounds like a good truck for the kid. Fun, durable, and dont have to build. Here you go son, have a ball!

Can you tell i am not impressed? LOL

I will wait untill the release, maybe there will be a few tricks to it"thumbsup"

Plastic tube work means you cant easily work with it. So servo stays on the axle.

Plastic links must go.

Right off the bat you pitch the chassis, which sucks because it looks good and has decent interior.

Or you just rig the servo if possible on the chassis and add some new pannels of your choice to it, some lights, rims, tires, motor, links......i guess its still workable but your limited. If they would have at least used a base metal chassis, then there would be something to start with.

Not a builders truck for certain.

Ok, rant off! :lmao:

be thankfull...and not a hater

Come on guys !!! I here more complaining than being thankfull that Axial is trying to improve the sport and comeing out with new products...stop nit picking it apart, I mean look at it this way, its opening up a whole new class of racing that was very hard to get into for the average guy who couldnt build a tuber KOH rig.... we all know how cool the King Of Harmmers is and Top truck Challange...at least we have AXIAL to thank for cool new stuff..If you dont like it. dont buy it, and build your own..

ALL I CAN SAY IS.... THANKS AXIAL FOR YOUR AWSOME PRODUCTS AND INOVATION IN THE SPORT

There was a lot of complaining before the ax10 came out too, people didn't want to see the "hobby" go to crap because anyone could do it without having to fab their own parts. Plain and simple I would be forced to buy a KOH rig that someone else made. At least this way it's possible for me to enjoy something I otherwise couldn't. Thanks Axial. "thumbsup"

The plastic chassis is to keep the price down. I'm sure someone will release a metal tube replacement for a $100 or so. Changing to metal links is cake. I'm ready to see it. Might sell one of my SCX-10s to get it. My buddy wants back in and maybe he'll want my ext cab Super Duty Honcho since he owns a '00 Powerstroke.

I personally do not mind the plastic roll cage. It's cheaper to replace if it does break but it can still be a lot more resilient than metal. Unless the rig is being subjected to a stupid high fall, the plastic cage will bounce and absorb the impact, whereas a metal cage would bend, then you would be stuck trying to bend it back. One big aspect that I like about plastic as well, is it tends to be lighter than steel a lot of times. And yeah, you can't customize it like you could a metal one, but many people do not have the resources to make their own. This is the next best thing, and pretty darn good IMO. As far as customizing, people will find a way to make it their own. Plus, who's to say Axial or some aftermarket company won't come out with different body panels or cage shapes for this rig that will bolt right on to the chassis?

LOL

Axial is in the buisness of making money. They see a market, they go for it.

You are just a fish.

I dont remember any threads where axial asked us what we wanted?

They are making money, and as a person who gives money to axial, we have the right to complain if we so choose.

Look on the bright side, without any fish axial would be out of buisness.

You should be thanking the consumers that keep axial in the buiness of making cool products.

thats it right there8), keep it light, makes it side hill better anyway

I like it the way it is:mrgreen:

I'm going to put a winch on the front & ice chest in the back and take off. replace what breaks. and most of all, take it to a G6 event and see how it does8)

Yup, top heavy rigs can get annoying. As for the Wraith, they ought to be pretty bomber for a G6 event.

I am not saying its a bad out of the box rig at all.

I am saying they didn't make it for the builder.

Its a newbe market, and thats what they are shooting for. I know why its like it is, and thats simply to keep the profit margin up.

Look at the 2.2 scalers now. 80 percent are top trucks. Guess what, not everyone wants to take the time to build one, but everyone wants one. In walks the wraith.

With the ax10 it was good crawler for what was out there. And still is in my op.

I dont see the wraith starting a market. Ttc is cool but i dont see it lasting. Hope i am wrong here.

The current ttc rigs are decked. Axial axles are already great axles, dont see the benifit of the new ones?

Anyways more variety is good. Nothing wrong with the wraith and if it gets more people into rc's then great.

It's a new class of racing, we have rock crawling and straight out speed, now we have rock racing this will allow us to be able to make a complete new course we can have a nice new speed track leading into a rock crawling stage... and as everyone else has said King of the Hammers is awesome!

Hammers is definitely cool.

We have been running g6 formatted events now for two years. Way before G6. USAS..."ULTIMATE SCALE ADVENTURE SERIES".
And i believe this to be the future of scale. However we dont run wraith type trucks. They are more hammer and ttc oriented. USAS trucks are more trophy oriented than buggies

Then there is the issue of just how many scale events can be ran in a given region?

Kind of have to go with the flow i guess.
