They aren't doing that with the XR10 so I am thinking maybe they have changed their mind on that business model. Just guessing...
Thats to bad.. There really is not much room to personalize this rig(pretty big thing with scalers).

It will be cool at first but once the entire rock pile is covered with them that will go out the window pretty fast(O look a red one, there's the blue one awesome  )..

This thing is not like a SCX10 that you can change the body or add some tube work and have something that looks totally different..

This is much like the Gmade R1 a body change is a major chassis change. So Basically you will throw away everything but axles/trans, shocks. if you dont want to be the blue guy or red guy...

i cant help but wonder how these axles will look under a short course body. iwant an rtr for the kids but it would be nice if they sold the axles seperate

It had the new motor cover on it and something looked different on the tranny but not sure. The screws on the new skid plate looked about the same though. 4 link rear truss somewhat similar in style to dmg's. No release date as of yesterday. I wonder if they would have it ready for MSD and they'd bring a few to run as spec since they are rtr. That last part was just my .02 cents. I thought since there were several guys from axial that at least one of them was going to run one. But they have a agreement with a company regarding photos which is why no photos were allowed yesterday. I think its worth the price and if you want a kit I think that's in the talks for down the road as well.

One more question, was the servo mounted on the axle?

I just can't wait for the axles and the aftermarket support. There is going to be all kinds of sweet scaleness awesomeness to be had.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didnt want the 27t. But at least i can fit nimhs in there.

Meh, with a good motor setup there really isn't a need anyway.

This

Agreed. I'd rather not have the weight/bulk of a 2-speed, personally.

This

Exactly. My 2.2 scaler is fast enough that it becomes hard to control with a locked front axle at full speed anyway.

And this...

X2, I would see a lot of people putting brushless setups in these anyways for KOH or TTC style comps.
