my Gmade Bouncer

Ran it today at the G6 event down in Ocala Florida. It done really well. I should get some video time as I did a few cyclones and a backflip or two....

I need some input from you guys. I need a better motor but the CC3800KV is awesome in 2nd gear for FOFF action but its not sensored and gets some cogging, plus its going into my SC10 truck. The 2800 Tazer motor seems perfect but the FOFFing action is a bit weak. The 17.5T Icon sensored motor is fine for crawling and general play but its gutless when compared to either the 2800 or 3800. So I want more motor, its gotta be sensored. They also must be capable of taking a 3S battery.

My choices are either a 13.5 Gen2 Tekin or the 10.5 version.

Gen2 Sensored 10.5 TT2408 10.5 4550kv 13mm
Gen2 Sensored 13.5 TT2407 13.5 3400kv 12.5mm

I like the 13mm rotor of the 10.5 but the KV of the 13.5 is more what I am after. Can the 10.5 crawl reasonably well? I'm not talking highly technical crawling, but be controllable at low rpms? I am kinda lost here.

Have a look around for a four pole motor. Supposed to be really tourqey but still have some rpm about them. I think I have seen them on eBay. Still brushless and sensored

They are a bit more but yeah I didn't even think about the poles in them. I may have to back off on the motor. The 17.5 will crawl a bit, the 2800 is great for bashing and I have a dedicated brushed crawler so I may end up with some nice strong servos instead. Besides, that 17.5 may just work fine with the 4S battery I don't know yet. When I do end up buying a motor I will probably go after the 4-pole Pro4 3300.

Well I did it. I bought a 4-pole motor. Its a bit more then I wanted but I think it will do better then anything else available.

a Tekin ROC 412....the 3100KV version. It's capable of taking 4S power too. I'm going to break so much stuff with this motor its gonna just keep on hurting.

I am also working on making it a scale bouncer with an interior, a winch, and a few more scale items. Its gonna be fun finding enough scale items to legitimately qualify for scale challenges and comps.

Radiator, fuel cell, ?, ?, ?. I need 5. Got any ideas?

I'll get you guys an update pic of my gmade bouncer thing soon I have done some more upgrades. ST chubs and knuckles all around, Blitz axles off ebay which seem to be pretty descent. I also put on a set of SAVOX 1231sg 444oz/in servos in it. This thing will make a U-turn almost within its own width!!!

Hey heres that new updated pic I promised a few weeks ago. I put this one as my background too!!! Also, this pic was taken with an iphone5 not too bad IMO.

I'd like to show off my build again LOL

I put some huge ROX LOX tires on it just to see what it looks like. It actually runs them but they aren't practicle for real trail riding or bouncing.

Here is a video of it on its normal swampers on some stuff in a local spot.

Its still a lot of fun to get out there and raise hell with it.

That is insane! What axles are those? Do you have a build thread? Oops just saw that this was a build thread of sorts.*sheepish grin*

LOL yeah its sort of a build thread. Front axle shafts are Axial Universal, and rear are some kind of GCM style CVD axle I found on ebay. When I break them I'll put Uni's in there too. The axle housings are VP and I have Axial underdrive gears in both ends with MIP driveshafts

Hi, I just found this thread while looking around. I have already built an R1 based foff truck, but find it a bit too low for trail driving. I'm looking at building something similar to yours using the R1 chassis sides and narrowed wraith axles. There is nothing built as yet, just in the planning and buying stage.

Have a look at ny foff truck if you want here. It started off with a different chassis until I saw an R1 chassis then ordered the side pieces. It uses an hpi 1965kv 1/8 buggy motor and spur so no transmission. Yours looks surprisingly similar. It still needs some finishing, but I got into racing for a while and it got put on the shelf. Out of racing now, so should be completed sometime soon.
