Yes, I'm old and I like playing........., wait a minute. Don't we all like playing with these toys and dolls and stuff?

Anyways, while browsing crackbay for 1/6 New Bright bodies I recalled that barbies fit into these large trucks and cars. So, opposite must......, nevermind, they're made for barbie to fit,, anyways.

The first pic is with gi joe driving on no seats, stock steelies removed and mocked up with some old kyosho wheels with "Flywheel's" tires. Anyone remember those? Nevermind.

The last few pics are of it, with some of the chassis removed, and fitted over a HPI Super nitro rally. I'd love to keep it 4wd, and as long as I can figure out the steering " it needs to be flipped, from a "BTA" setup to up front,,, and a hidden transmission under the dash.

Another iidea I have, is to mount a Traxxas 1/10 emaxx/summit/revo 2 speed transmission transverse up front.. Essentially, the wheels being powered straight off the transmission. Doable with an outrunner, maybe.

I could make it a handle better than a drag missile for normal "street" driving by installing the optional center differential, but unfortunately that would mean no more 2 speed. I know I know, brushless, 2 speed, waste of time, blah blah blah. I like the cool factor of a FWD 2 speed and being able to slam shifting it.

Its a Mk1 cabrio body, and is in really good shape for being just 2 years younger than someone else i know. The body details are, stickers, yay. The real details will be drawn up in f360 and you guessed it, 3d printed. (Big bumpers, 3 slat no emblem grille, lights,, etc) Windshield has a small Crack in the bottom corner, but nothing "Safelite" can't fix with a can of plastic weld.

Not too good with styrene, but thar was 15 years ago. I want to un-cabriolet it with some white styrene. You know, put on a roof, A,B,C pillars and stuff. Interior?

I'd love to turn it into a Mk2, as that was my first car , but will make do with this. On a side note, I found some cool 1.9 beadlocks that look like VW steelies I may try.

It is advertised as a VW cabriolet. It's basically a Mk1 body, the first Golf, or Rabbit as it was called in the US
