My 2008 2.2 comp rig

More than likely yes you will have to make a new skid.

My above parts list is all the stuff I would reccommend.

Nice Build Mr. Hensel.

Like everyone else, Losi shocks are all that. I run those shocks on both my rigs and tumble off the rocks all the time. Never bent one yet. They are a really strong shock.

The main thing is those Titanium Nitrate shock shafts. Before they had that option, the shafts would bend easier and tear up the seals real quick.

Great looking rig Jason. Did you ever try your upper links in the upper hole? I had mine set up that way and liked it pretty good. Now I am going to try it like yours. Also, are your shocks alot better than the Evader rear shocks? That is what I have and find that they are stiff for me. Thanks

That is VERY nice and I find your build reassuring as I have a SW3 chassis and a R2D in the post somewhere.

Is there any chance of a few more nudey shots of your crawler ? - I am pretty sure I wont be the only one interested to see them "thumbsup"
 
The left rear shock is filled with Losi 50 weight oil=$3.50
The right rear shock is filled with Losi 30 weight oil=$3.50
The front shocks are both filled with Losi 20 weight oil=$3.50

I noticed you were using fairly light weight oil in your shocks. I've been using the same Losi shocks for some time now (race Losi offroad for years), but had ~50 or 60 wt. Associated oil in them on the crawler. What is the advantage of using light weight oil? I always thought slowing down the shock action w/ thicker oil was the way to go for crawling? Just curious!

The way I run my rig, I like lighter oil to smooth out the higher speed hits and bumps. It makes it easier to bump over a section IMO. I also agree that the Losi shocks are the smoothest out there. I have a few sets myself and they have been running for the longest of any shock I own.

Great job on fitting that tranny and motor in there. Looks like I will be getting a SW3 to replace the stock axial plates.
