~~ MNRCRC 2017 Scale Event #1 - May 21 - G6 @ Enger tower ~~

Well everyone, its our first big Scale event of the season.

G6 at Enger tower in Duluth. (will add better location information shortly)

Date: May 21
Start time: 11:00AM
End time: ~3:00 PM (but could be sooner)

There will be a course set up with a large number of gates to guide you through. Depending on turnout, we may run timed laps as teams of 2.

Bring your capable rigs and a bunch of batteries.

The intent of a G6 is to be like a real 1/1 trail run. Recover with winches or with your buddies truck helping. Hands of God should be minimized (except of course if safety is a concern).

Dana, can we pull the g6 off the calendar for June 4th at my cabin, just found out my parents are having a get together that weekend so won't work to do it there, and with this one 2 weeks before it doesn't make sense to have 2 back to back.

Instead of parking in the normal parking lot, we will park on the road that surrounds the park (the blue marker on the map above). We'll hike up the hill, ending up at Enger Tower.

Stay on Skyline Pkwy past the road to Enger. There will be two pull-off areas just past the park. Skip the first, but park at the second pull-off (look for the landmark placard). If I can get up there early (haha), look for my blue mazda3.

Won't be able to attend this one this weekend, Barry, Nick, Josh and myself are all going to Alabama for ECC. You guys have fun, and sorry about having to pull out on g6 we had scheduled at my cabin.

Thanks to everyone that braved the weather to wheel with us today! A pretty good turn out, despite the conditions. I didn't get too many pics (mostly because my hands were freezing). Lol.
